Hey

I was looking at the boar boys and wondering if I could grab both frenzy and heavy armour. Both those says "you can replace light armour with-" which might mean i can't, but I don't feel it's clear. Could be that it means i can replace it with the both of those. And it's only the warpaint and not the frenzy rule that prevents armour, so I thought it might be possible.

Frenzied furious charging boar buddies with a 3+ armour sounds like fun to me.

You can't - if you replace light armour with heavy armour you no longer have light armour to replace with frenzy.

Yeah, thought that might be a stretch. Was playing around with a list in New Recruit and it was only when i double checked with the book i noticed that wording.

Also, what's up with them having lost additional hand weapons. I was looking forward to savage boar boys with the +1 str on charge banner and a billion attacks.

If an orc chariot taken as a character mount upgrade with warpaint, does that exclude the character atop it from wearing armour?

Remember that in the past interations of the game Frenzy used to be a huge liability, not an asset, especially on units with high M. So, unless something really changed in how the game works, it's better not to have it. Maybe on a cheap, expendable unit.

I see, there is no lesdership roll to stay your charge in this edition. That's rough.

Did there use to be such a test in 8th? I didn't play that edition. In 5th, 6th and 7th you just had no option but to charge if in range, so basically the opponent played your Frenzy units for you after turn 1 unless you really jumped thorugh a lot of hoops to keep them in check and your opponent let you (terrain, facing backwards, screens)

Yeah. I started playing back in 2011, so I've only really experienced 8th. There you could stay your charge with a leadership test so within your general/BSB's bubble they could still be pretty reliable. I can see how it being completely in your opponents hand is a downside.

Can a wizard with the Vindictive Glare spell cast it while in combat if he targets the unit he's engaged with? Not sure if the "you can only cast assailments and enchantments(self) while in combat unless stated otherwise" rule or the text that says you can target a unit in combat takes precedence when it's the wizard itself that is fighting.
