The new codex is on the way, I think it’s in the kroot box that’s on pre order? (Not a tau guy, not sure exact release date)

There might be reliable leaks out somewhere on the internet, but do be sure to check if answers you get are from the index or the codex.

How support systems are modeled stopped mattering with the release of 10th when they just reduced everything into either shield generators or two different generic support systems.

If you're not building Sunforge suits which have the the shield generators (the round discs), then just slap something else on there and call it a day.

I was looking at making the Sunforge load out so where do you model the shield generator if they have a fusion blaster attached to each arm?

Honestly, kind of wherever you want. Tau stuff has been abstracted enough that you have a lot of artistic freedom in what exactly the suit looks like. And generally, opponents won't know enough about your wargear to know the difference.

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

It really doesn't matter. Pick a spot that you're happy with how it looks when mounted there.

Usually just flat on top of the backpack. It slots in like any other support system.
