I assume tyranids taste a bit like lobster and other crustaceans, since they have an exoskeleton just like arthropods. But I also imagine that, similar to fugu, they have several poisonous organs that you must carefully remove while preparing the meat for cooking.

Ork meat, on the other hand, likely tastes like mushroom, though it's as tough and leathery as beef jerky.

I would rather not speculate on the more humanoid species like eldar and t'au.

(No, this post isn't related to me watching Dungeon Meshi. Why do you ask?)

Tyranids

1) They are so alien their bodies are literal poison without even being engineered to be so

2) They engineer themselves to be highly poisonous and at best might be like a puffer-fish - one tiny tiny bit you can eat and not die.

3) Tyranids close of part 2 and engineer the part that you can eat to be delicious and chock full of genestealer dna warping eggs!

4) Tyranids create "Tyranid Caviar". Eat it raw and let the little eggs hatch inside you!

5) They might even have a texture like shark-skin so exceptionally hard to eat without it tearing up your insides. Even the soft fleshy parts could be like a banana on steroids!

I imagine that tyranids probably taste bad in some fashion. If they're genuinely extragalactic, their physical makeup could be so different from our own that they just don't register as being anything like what the human body wants to ingest. Even if they're not, we know that even *kroot* think they taste funny and don't want to eat them, so the chances of humans liking the taste seems low.

Orks = mushroom jerky sounds about right. Possibly very salty?

Humans taste like pork (thus cannibalism being called "eating long pig"). By virtue of convergent evolution and possibly being seeded by the old ones, I wouldn't be surprised if eldar are made up of similar matter as humans and thus also taste similar to pork.

Tau are a bit of a longshot, but they have a lot of goat (not fish) characteristics. I wouldn't be surprised if they taste a bit like goat.

Kroot probably taste differently based on who they've been eating.

Sslyth are reptilian. Seems likely they'd taste gamey.

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

Oh, that's interesting. I didn't know that bit of lore.

But conversely, I would bet tyranids have no issue eating kroots.

I've eaten alligator once. Tastes a bit like chicken, but the meat is harder.

Due to the exoskeleton, I’ve always figured Nids to taste like Lobster or Crab.

Hideously poisonous Lobster or Crab. But Lobster or Crab all the same.

Despite the Meme-ing of the blue fish people, with their hooves, I'd assume they evolved from more goat or cow-like animals, so mutton?
Orks taste like portobello with the texture of beef.
'Nids actually wouldn't have too much meat, as I read they have redundant systems and internal skeletons as well as exo-skeletons. But what is there would prolly be shellfish-like.. but really tough and stringy.
Speaking of tough and stringy, poncey Eldar would also be tough as they are really "wiry"- having dense muscles.
Kroot would depend on the "evolution" they've taken, EX: "The Cupbearer" from Ghaz book would be more catfish-like. "Normal" kroot, I'd think would be like a cross between beef and chicken, like ostrich.
Hrud= I forgot.. wait, did I eat a Hrud? Or will I? Can it be both?

Kroot are (were?) described as sinuous beings, with tendons which can contract like a whiplash providing them with surprising strength.

Probably one for slow cooking, I’d imagine.

Emperor's Children taste fantastic.
