Trying to put together my first list in a few editions and am a bit stuck when attempting to add a squad of 5 bikes/outriders
The index card says
1 sergeant
2-5 bikes/outriders
then the Munitorum has the points listed as
3 models - 80 points
6 models - 160 points
so what if I want a squad of 5?

You pay 160 points.
That’s how GW is doing it for now. And I hate it.

So anything above the 80 point 3 models is 160, up to 6 models? that is rather silly.

In theory it makes things simpler, and makes it so they don’t need to differentiate the price of the sarge vs the troopers.
In practice, it’s stupid. We can do basic math on the point per model.
But it’s how GW is rolling right now, so that what we have.

Yeah, I tried to math it out for PPM but it came to something like 26.66666666666666666

Technically speaking it makes the PPM more granular for balance. You just get the granularity as bundled deals.

Practically speaking GW has never had the balance to the point where the difference between 26.67pts and 27pts per model mattered, and there's a snowball's chance in hell they ever will.

Getting back in after leaving with 6th, it feels weird that they set the hard cost per unit to either x for 60 or y for 120 instead of x for 60 plus an additional z for every additional model.

It's likely a by product of the wargear costs going imo, they can't give points per model if any of the upgrades are gated at X per Y models otherwise the models between X and Y-1 are massively over priced.

It's because they come in boxes of three.
