Well the thalax aren't impacted because they are cyborgs but the ursarax and domitar will be, though the question in my opinion is, why not go with the better castelax or vorax (mantis)?

And a Baby magos?

24 Thallax without anyone to help their Leadership will be a liability against certain lists, for example if they have plenty of pinning. They'll just lock them down and dismantle the rest of your list whilst you sit there.

I'd suggest an Archimandrite Archmagos with a Jet Pack of his own, leading ten, then two squads of five, so that they are a less valuable target anyway.

Also, being on an Abeyant prevents the Archmagos you have there from joining any squads at all so don't go thinking that is an option.

Also, don't neglect the Photon Gauntlet option on Archmagi and the Photon Thrusters on Thallax. Making folks Blind will pay dividends, trust me!

It won't work often, but it will happen once or twice per game and is often game-changing.
