I might paint some grey knights when I’ve finished most of my blood angels, so I figure I’d ask. I don’t want to pay GeeDubs prices for primer, and I’ll cover the model in grey knights steel either way, I also prefer Vallejo primers. Is Vallejo gunmetal spray a good alternative to leadbelcher?

'Awsum' is the highest rating I can give something based on quality. Example: I would call it an 'Awsum' AWS-8Q instead of an 'Awesome'

I don't really use Citaldel anymore, but a pot of Leadbelcher has found my way and I do like the colour.
I'm on a strictly Vallejo diet because they fit my case and are readily available.

I've found the following alternatives from the Vallejo Metal Color range:
- Burnt Iron
- Gunmetal Grey
- Exhaust Manifold

This is what I've found from reviews and images online, I've yet to see them in person.I have to find the time to visit the hobby store :/

Thanks for replying! I decided to probably just buy leadbelcher spray, my not-so-local German hobby store no longer sells Vallejo/army painter paints for 2.99 but for 3.50 euros, just 10 cents lower than a basic pot of citadel layer/base/dry paints! I do understand your ‘Vallejo diet’ however, I was on somewhat of one myself. They have some killer colours. Panzer Aces are good too.
