Recently I've had a really weird problem. I've been painting for about three years now and using a wet palette for most of that time without this happening but the last few weeks I keep returning to a palette to find paint I'd put on it only the day before has pretty much evaporated leaving just a dry residue. It's even happened with glazes that are 99% medium. It's summer but it's not that hot. What am I doing wrong? I'm getting through my hydration sheets fast and can't explain this. Anyone else ever have the issue?

Are you putting a cover on the palette? Is the air particularly dry in your home?

Those are the first things that come to mind for me.

"Through the darkness of future past, the magician longs to see.
One chants out between two worlds: Fire, walk with me."

"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks

Do you store your wet pallette in the fridge when not in use?

"The larger point though, is that as players, we have more control over what the game looks and feels like than most of us are willing to use in order to solve our own problems"
