So I painted up this kitbashed soviet antitank rifle team for bolt action a while ago, (coats were vallejo panzer aces old wood washed with army painter something... I don't remember, and highlighted again. I had read a bit and looked it up, and I found many threads about the shade of soviet greatcoats in world war 2. Supply line issues, different materials/manufacturers, fading, etc.
But I figured I'd ask because I still have no idea. What are some colours to paint ww2 winter soviet greatcoats (and Telogreikas) as? Furthermore, was my scheme 'correct'? I am sitting on a bunch of the models and I plan on painting a ton of them soon, so any help is greatly appreciated.

'Awsum' is the highest rating I can give something based on quality. Example: I would call it an 'Awsum' AWS-8Q instead of an 'Awesome'
Yes-Close To The Edge is the best song of all time and I'll virus bomb/PPC anyone who says otherwise

In general, uniform is hardly uniform.

This is my preferred painting guide.

The thing about 40k is that no one person can grasp the fullness of it.

Some shade of grey, like every WW2 uniform, as shown on pictures from that era.

Since the previous replies were a bit non-sensical I'll give it a try! The best recipe I've read is just grey with a drop of brown added to it. It does work. I've tried it myself!
