For various reasons, I am no longer into painting or modelling as a hobby. I have a selection of paints (mostly Vallejo) that I no longer need and I don't know what to do with them.

Drying them out and binning them seems pretty wasteful, so I was just wondering if anyone has any for suggestions for the best thing to do with a bunch of unwanted paint. If where I live is relevant for disposal options or whatever, I'm in Staffordshire in the UK.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Passing them on to new players? Or friends/family who still play? If they are still useable seems a waste to just dump them. “Free to a good home” should get some hits, the question is where to ask. FLGS, local clubs, here in the swap shop, trade/discord groups. Someone wants them, the question is finding them.

Oh, did not see the swap shop. That's helpful, thanks

Oh Canada!

At the bare minimum, leave them at your local hobby shop "free to good home" - guaranteed someone will want them.

"Free, just pay for postage" is also a very fast way to rehome supplies.

A few years ago, I had no problem selling a lot of Citadel paints I no longer wanted on eBay. I was honest and realistic describing their condition/use, and they sold easily to a happy buyer. We are talking 75 or so pots, so if you’ve only got 5-10, it will be harder to get interest there. But it’s an option.

Thanks for the input, much appreciated. I made a post on the swapshop https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/814292.page

For further details, I got a little over 100 paints. I think some have separated a bit, I don't know if there's anything to be done about that, if they can be remixed. There are some duplicates of colours because of painting sets I'd bought.

I got some garbage cheap brushes, a painting handle (don't remember what make and there's no branding on it, so I'm guessing a cheap one), a citadel mould line remover, some green stuff world containment moulds for round bases, a couple of odd miniatures I've bough/backed on kickstarters that I'm happy to toss in. I also have most of the Gloomhaven miniatures (the reason I'm getting rid of all of this stuff is that the person I mainly played with died and so the miniatures for the characters we were using are not included)
