Anyone have any experience with either making your own counters or with printing shops printing it for them? I see online scans of various tiles and counter sheets and just wondered about using them to expand the copy I have just got and quite liked playing.

I have ordered from 3d print shops before and the results can be good. It depends on the quality of the files and the materials you want them printed in. It can also be pretty pricey.
Mostly I got custom bits for models. But there shouldn't really be a difference.

I was thinking more the card stock type with scans of front and backs added, printed in sheets and then carefully cut out...

I have had cards printed from https://www.makeplayingcards.com/design/custom-blank-card.html
The quality is great but it can be very expensive.

Well has to be cheaper than trying to buy these things! Automatically Appended Next Post: Ah cards, yeah just looked. Do they do counters as well or images printed onto thick cardstock? Couldn't see anything like that.

You can literally submit your own designs to be printed on any of the sizes they have in their shop (which I think includes custom sizes). I made some sets of card in a tarot size for a TTRPG. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mVk0y8DXXaHQiIiut26bgEc1IPv7l5ni/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T8geAJ4krE0wXN-k9y1j3KBqnezWyxZP/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BgZu5plnKDQYRm4Nt0KU8c1lHFy43ZNQ/view?usp=sharing All images I produced in photoshop and loaded into their custom card thing for printing. I know there are other sites/companies that produce game prototype stuff where you can submit art files for printing for like.. custom cardboard chits and other stuff. Again, at a cost. Prices vary greatly but tend towards expensive.
