I'd just finished this lord on Steed of Slaanesh when the banner pole broke. I tried supergluing it back in place but it's simply too top-heavy, and the pole itself is very thin (perhaps a few mm across) so I don't know how I would drill it, get a paperclip in, and then do the same with the other end without somehow drilling straight through to the other side. Any advice?

Is completely replacing the pole with a metal or plasticard rod an option? Sometimes it's easier to just do that than try to re-join one that's already been snapped.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

I’ve drilled snapped staffs before. You need thin wire and fine drills, but it’s possible.

Depending where it snapped you might be able to get a tube or wrap something around the break like a cast. If it snapped real close to the base, this might just end up looking like a mounting brace.

Brass rod is my go-to option for replacing broken metal poles. Plastic, sometimes you can manage a really thin pin to repair the original. Metal, it never works out well.

I had this happen to me recently.

I reglued the [plastic] pole and had some thin but rigid wire, <1mm, that I ended up gluing along the flag pole. So far, so good, but I did end up painting the flag pole much darker, as the wire was pretty visible; darkening that area of the model meant you really can't see it at all at 3'

Good luck!

Sigh.

Who am I kidding? I only paint these days...

Oh Canada!

Would strongly consider replacing the broken section of pole with brass/metal rod. Snapped plastic poles never hold up well with glue alone when they have a big heavy ornament or banner on top.

Its a tricky model to repair. You might try to have a supporting piece trail along the pole.
Considering the models design you could try to do a spiraling metal wire to hold the original pole in place, and make it look like a snake design. Search your bits box, you might even have a plastic snake or something.
