Hi, my second Admech kit I made last year, but due to break I had in modelling because of work I didn't post photos
I'm more proud of this techpriest, because Kastelans was really hard for me to accomplish and effect is not as good as I expected. Yet I think I learned some important stuff about more "biggie mechanic stufff", like don't depend on wash that much.
Here are photos, any feedback, especially tips on painting devices based on my Kastelans mistakes are adorable

Thanks, I'm really proud of this Datasmith Magos, but Kastelans were torment. I have no experience in more vechicle-like stuff. Yet I'm happy I made them up and learned something

Really like your AdMech stuff.
Why do you not like your Kastellans? They look good to me, even if they are the wrong color.
(My support is for Ryza, not Mars, so I paint my guys orange.)

Well, first of all this was my first project that was big stuff, more vechicle like. It is visible when You click photot (it will open in new tab in better quality then) that there are brush marks on flat spaces, especially on head. I should thin my paints much more for that stuff. Also I usually paint my minis lighter than i Want to have in final effect so I can turn down colour durning full wash. It works cool on Admech minis because of lot of details wash paint can slip into, but on Kastelan robots there is too much flat spaces, so there is lot of stains after Agrax Earthshade.
I wouldn't say after all I don't like them, those robots taught me a lot about bigger minis.
Also, Ryza is great, I considered it myself, but I really want to add Belisarius Cawl into my cohort later, and as far as I know he is "mars only" unit
EDIT there are also traces after gluing and cutting, I made some mistakes durning asembly and didn't use file enough

You could always dig into those mistakes, and make them caked on mud, battle damage, or other debris.
I was trying to clean mould lines on a model and sliced a chuck out of a shoulder pad.
I didn't have an extra, so I made this one guy have some battle damage.
You can always fix your models by adding a little blood, dirt, or damage. Then you can pretend that you intended it to look that way.
