Hey guys!!

I've been dabbling in Warhammer the old world for about 8 months or so. I'm really struggling to decide between these two armies. I love the more mainly of both armies, the aesthetic, everything. So I guess it comes down to gameplay?

I'm not really think what's stronger, but what do you think would be more fun? The whole "Build a bear" mechanic for runes looks really interesting but I don't know how much longevity it would have, and obviously the high elves have just been teased. But as it stands, which do you guys prefer to see on the other end of the board!

Cheers

I'm going to say High Elves, because they look like you could do a lot more with them. And if they are anything like they used to play, the magic was super fun.

The Dwarves were kinda samey... all the builds I've seen seem to be... well... the same.

I've never played as them, so take it with a grain of .

My vote goes for high elves too, especially since they are on the verge of a new release. Dwarves are too slow and high elves can participate in all phases of the game (movement, magic, shooting, and combat).

ToW armies I own:
Empire: 10,000+
Chaos Legions: DoC- 10,000+; WoC- 7,500+; Beastmen- 2,500+; Chaos Dwarves- 3,500+
Unaligned: Ogres- 2,500; Tomb Kings- 3,000
Hotek: Dark Elves- 7,500+; High Elves- 2,500
40k armies I own:
CSM- 25,000+

In terms of customization, both armies have that with maybe dwarves having a bit more because of runes. But Old World differs greatly from 40K (in its current form) in how much you can tinker with your army list. Not power level like 10ed 40K. Ultimately pick the army you like the best in terms of aesthetics since you’ll be painting/assembling it and that’s important to get through that.
