I love the red base, it really stands out. I don't think I've seen one like that before.

Nice. I like the tarnished metal and the base. I'd be interested in how you arrived at the colour scheme for the base. It is quite a leap but works well.

What do you mean, how I decided on Red/white (I wanted something to explain the heavy weathering on the models, it seems that ruberite stuff is highly oxidizing. Crat from Starwars was also an inspiration)

Or how I achieved the texture and color?
That was a bit of trial and error until I got the proper crackling medium. I am using Golden Crackle paste.
The red is just a very rich an intense dry pastel.
