Spoilered for large image.
Spoiler:

It looks like Bandai is making further forays into the miniatures genre. Gundam Superior Define is a blind-box shokugan series featuring six unpainted miniature kits each accompanied by an artwork card. They are apparently 38mm in size, and from the colour of the renders it looks like they might be an SD equivalent to the Gundam Artefact series of blind-box kits. Gundam Superior Define No.1 will be released via retail in August (in Japan at least), but the pre-orders on the Japanese P-Bandai site and on HobbyLink Japan have already sold out. There is no indication on the HLJ website that these items will be unavailable to USA-based customers.

SD = Superior Define? I thought SD stood for "Super Deformed" ie. a more chibi style..

Maybe you can't trademark Super Deformed.

Pretty sure Super Deformed was already trademarked by Bandai for Gundam, no?

IMHO, Bandai often finds other things for SD to stand for during localization. Everyone in Japan knows that abbreviation means chibi but the West doesn't know what super-deformed means.

Example:vthe SD Gundam Force series where SD stood for "Superior Defender" in the English dub.

Too bad they are chibi style. Not my thing.
