So thinking of going with Eldar for a new crusade league at the FLGS. Starting at 1k, but will grow. No clue on opponents, but can grow into that. Mechdar/bike theme. Getting mud on your boots is for lesser races,
Thinking the basic warhost, but also strongly considering the armored one.
Farseer on bike
- singing spear
- enhancement: psychic destroyer

I thought you needed a Warlock-type to make them effective?
If a pycher is close they get +1 to hit. D-scythes auto-hit due to torrent. So not really needed here. The spiritseer, who I may eventually add, can give them sustained hits (not useful on the scythes) and healing, which would be nice.
I might add a unit of wraithblades with axes later, which would need the support.

That’s what the Wave Serpent is for. They ride in that, while the DA and FD each get a Falcon. WG take up 2 seats each, but the serpent has space for the squad (and a character or two if needed)
On deployment, it’s 3 tanks, the windriders w/attached seer, and the vyper. Mud free. You can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs, so at some point units will need to disembark.
This is what I’m pulling from:
Spoiler:
Slightly old pic, also includes another war walker, 10 scorpions, and another squad of DAs. Not painted but could be rushed into service are a squad of shining spears, shroudrunners, and the WSPL.
Scorpions, rangers and war walkers get a pass on the mud, as they are supposed to be the boots on the ground scouts. Although I’ve always preferred vypers over WWs, the new rules are probably going to get those leggy messes to the table.
Warp spiders and swooping hawks also get excused, as they are not trudging through the mud, just occasionally touching down.
The only stuff I have that can’t embark or naturally flys is the Wraithlords and my old Avatar. The rest need to share the 36 seats available in my transports. Which granted is about half of what I would need to mobilize everyone. But as I don’t see myself playing in 4k+ point games, not an issue.
And if things get serious, I’m sure there are shenanigans that can be pulled lore-wise to bring in more/bigger units then I can transport. But that’s something to escalate too, not start at.
