Oh wow, the inclusion of Universe, the two Force manuals and Hinterlands is surprising, those are brand new books.

Universe became available here just this week (and sold out in an instant), while Hinterlands is still unavailable, the force manuals aren't even an option around here, so very interesting that they've chucked these into the bundle so soon already.

Just mentioned this in the BTech thread.

Honestly having newer books go through HB is likely designed to generate interest and then sales - the books are a gateway to the models now and they can profit off model sales from those who get into the digital books. Plus its likely also designed to help ease access to rules issues if there are supply problems with the physical copies.

In general too those who like using physical books will still end up getting them even if they've got digital versions too

I thought about posting it there, but figured that was the dedicated KS thread and some may see dilution of the topic as an affront to all things good and whatnot.

These bundles are set up long in advance, so this nicely shows how utterly inept and fething out of hand fulfilment of the KS is!

I mean, I want the physical books, I have a nice collection so far since picking up BT last year, but CGL really needs to step up already with releasing them outside of the US..

Well, at least I've got Hinterlands and the force manuals now, most of the other stuff I already have in dead tree format, but it's nice to have Destiny in digital format, maybe one day we can finally play it.

Nope. I bounce it back and forth between the Kickstarter and General News & Rumors as needed (see the current thread title for example).

One thing to be aware of - the Humble Bundle versions are ‘fixed in time’ - no updates or errata are available by download. When you buy, say, Total Warfare from Catalyst or Wargame Vault, when they release errata, you can just download the new version for free. And they do update fairly regularly, and it’s not always minor stuff. So that is a drawback, but still this collection is a good value.
