This was a fun experiment. Synthwave Slaanesh


Steps:
1) black prime with white drybrush
2) light blue airbrush from top
3) fluorescent purple airbrush from bottom
4) 2nd light blue airbrush from top because I overdid the purple


5) covered the entire mini with a purple contrast to add definition, but I think it ruined the gradient and has to rework via drybrush
6) selectively added white to the tops and under surfaces
7) added more blue and purple to punch up the saturation

I was working on synthwave tyranids from the 10th starter box, but I've rather lost enthusiasm on them.

I tried something similar a few years back but I used color changing paints that I think I might have gotten from Scale 75 but I'm not sure now.
Maybe from Green stuff world. Can't recall.

More or less used the under over like you did but it didn't turn out for me.
