Brothers, lend me your ear.

First off, FNP can't be lumped into fast rolling, correct? After determining all of the wounds a unit takes, I can't then throw that many FNP? It's per model? Moving on:

I may have been performing my FNP we get from our Uphold the Honor of the Emperor Vow wrong. I was rolling a saving throw for a dude, then immediately rolling the FNP for that dude if I failed, even if I had other armor saves left to make. However, recently it was pointed out that I need to make all of my saving throws first, and THEN roll FNP for each dude. I would then need to keep track of how much damage each dude took for multi-damage weapons. Emperor forbid their are multiple weapons with differing damage amounts. Am I doing this wrong?

So, if a unit hits my PCS with 10 D2 weapons and 5 D1 weapons, do I then

1 Make the saving throws, assuming I fail 5, for the D2 weapons. Then, immediately roll 2 FNP for each of the 5 PCS dudes that died. THEN make my saving throws for the 5 D1 weapons, assuming I fail 3, then roll 1 FNP for each of the dudes that took a wound.

2 Make all of the saving throws for the 2D and 1D weapons, keeping track of any spill excess wounds that specific dude took, then roll FNP for every wound assigned to each dude.

Fast Rolling: Kinda. A faster way to do it is say you fail 5 D2 saves on 1 wound models, and you have a 5+ FNP. You can roll 5 dice, then re-roll and that you got a 5+ on. For each re-rolled 5+ you roll, a model has made 2 5+ saves. Speeds it up quite a bit. (Repeat as needed for additional damage.) Though this only works for 1 wound models as for models with multiple wounds the order in which they make their FNP saves matters.

For muti-damage attacks, I play it as you roll the FNP immediately after they make a damage roll. That's how I've seen everyone else do it as well.

It's #1, You roll the FNP first and this can cause some excess damage from future attacks to be lost. Ex: a 3 W model takes 2 damage and makes a FNP, then takes another two damage and makes another FNP, then takes 2 and fails both, that excess 1 damage is lost.

I never thought of that, I'm going to remember that from now on.

But yeah everyone I know does it as #1.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

There is nothing in the rules forcing you to fast roll your saves. You can do so, and sometimes you cant, and sometimes you just dont want to.

Assuming a unit with uniform saves, Fast Rolling has no impact on FNP. FNP only comes into effect once you start assigning Wounds to specific Models. That is when you roll the FNP to see if the model doesn't lose the Wound(s) they were supposed to lose.

Technically, you cannot fast roll FNP. The rules make no provision for it and the exact order you make or fail FNP is highly relevant to the number of models you lose in the unit.

That being said, Tawnis outlined an excellent way to "fast roll" FNP for 1 Wound models. I doubt your opponent will object to speeding up the game that way. Just explain what your doing before you roll.
