Enjoy Juneteenth this year!

Juneteenth is also known as Freedom Day as it represents the approximate time the last slave was freed from bondage in the former Confederacy. I am not an expert on this Holiday, but I am hoping to take some time today to read up on it and learn the history myself.

It is supposed to be very hot here and around the United States. Does anyone else have any big plans to celebrate?

Today is also national martini day. I plan on raising one in a toast to freedom.

It's also a Texan holiday. Came about in Texas in 1980.

Sadly, my job has me working the whole day, no celebration for me. If I can fit something in for the two hours between getting home and sleeping, I’ll probably just be eating a nice meal.

Update: you were right it sure is hot today ahhhhhh
