My group is having a recurring issue when using yvraine and visarch. Specifically when Yvraine model activates her "word of the Phoenix" ability.

The ability says it can restore D3+1 bodyguard models. When the Visarch is added to the unit is is he considered apart of the bodyguard? The ability is specific and says no weapon teams but doesn't say anything about other characters.

The Astra Militarum medic in a command squad says "no characters" so the ogryn bodyguard or another attached character cannot be restored.

Are we missing something? Is there a standard ruling?
