Hey folks! I’m looking into diving into Burrows & Badgers with my wife as a casual, narrative-driven skirmish game. We’ve played Warcry and Age of Sigmar before, but she prefers games that are less complex and easier to pick up. I’d be the one learning the rules and helping her through gameplay, so simplicity and clarity are key. I’d love to hear your thoughts on a few things:

Gameplay Experience since I’ll be playing mostly with my wife
- How intuitive is the game for new players?
- Is it easy to run both sides solo or guide someone through their turns?
- Are there warbands or playstyles that are more beginner-friendly?
- Any tips for keeping the game light and fun without overwhelming her?
- She really loves dogs - would it be possible to play a band of just dogs? I would use our dogs as the paint scheme if I was able to do that.

Miniatures Availability
- How easy is it to find minis for the game? Are Oathsworn Miniatures the main source? I'm in the US so that might be an issue?
- Do you recommend starting with a starter band or picking individual models?

Getting Started
- What do you recommend buying first — rulebook, starter band, terrain?
- Any must-have minis or factions for beginners?
- How easy is it to expand a warband over time?

Thanks in advance! I’m really drawn to the aesthetic and storytelling potential of this game — hoping it’s the perfect fit for our tabletop nights.

All I can attest to is I ordered my minis from Oathsworn and I live on the west coast of the U.S.
Buy with confidence -- it was convenient and reliable.

Enjoy the games with your lady, that should be fun.

Sorry for the late response. So we were moving from Washington State to North Carolina and just got fully moved into the house a couple days ago. When I went to their website it appears they are no longer accepting orders from the US. I might go to Amazon and purchase the rule book from there and just buy miniatures from Etsy or other locations to fill in.

Yes I'd grab the rule book while you can somewhere (make sure it's the newest addition) until this tariff nuisance get's figured out.

Keep us dialed in later.
