I'm new to the hobby (working on my first Combat Patrol, and have yet to play 1 game), was playing around with the W40k app, and created an army and would like some feedback.

For my army, I didn't want to use named characters (like Orikan or Trayzn) and none of the Destroyer Cult/Flayer virus'ed necrons.

I'm also using the Awakened Dynasty.

Catacomb Command Barge with Enaegic Dermal Bond
Overlord with Translocation Shroud with Nether-realm Casket
Plasmancer with Veil of Darkness
Royal Warden
10x Immortals with Tesla carbine
40x Necron Warriors with Gauss flayer (split into two packs)
Canoptek Doomstalker
Canoptek Reanimator
6x Canoptek Scarab Swarms
Canoptek Spyder
10x Deathmarks (split into two packs)
2x Doomsday Ark
10x Lychguard

I was planning of grouping 1 pack of Warriors with the Plasmancer, 1 pack of Warriors with the Royal Warden, and the Immortals with the Overlord.
Any feedback is appreciated (since I, metaphorically, don't know my ass from my elbow about actually playing).

That's a perfectly fine starting army, as you play with it more, you'll get a feel for the strengths and weaknesses of the units you have and what units fit for to your specific playstyles.

I couple recommendations for your character placements though:
- The Overlord would do best leading the Lychguard. They are a great durable protection for him and they get a buff to their durability when being lead by a Noble character. (His speed boost also gets them into melee much faster than normal.)
- The Plasmancer is the solid one for leading your Immortals, with the Tesla's getting your Sustained Hits 2 on a 5+ instead of a 6+ is a HUGE buff to the squad.
- If you have the two different versions of Warriors, the Royal Warden should lead the ones with Gauss Reapers as his Fall Back and Shoot is much better in that unit.

That leaves 20 Warriors without a leader. With that as the case, I would split them into 2 units of 10. Something that a lot of new players don't think of is having units available to perform actions, or just sit on objectives. Your Deathmarks, and the excess Warriors would be ideal for this in your army while your more powerful units are handling the fighting.

I was gonna recommend a Hexmark with the Phasal Subjugator, but then I realized it's a Hexmark Destroyer, so...

Maybe switch the Veil of Darkness to the Royal Warden and stick the Warden with Gauss Reaper Warriors? Plasmancer plus Tesla Immortals don't need to get in close.

Edit: Also, general note... That list looks absolutely fine! You'll want to tweak it, both in play and in composition, as you figure out what works for you, but I'd be 100% happy to play against at a friendly table.
