Have you opened your box yet? If you bought him with tournaments or random-open-play in mind....

Arn’t most of the BL minis straight to legends releases?

Uh yeah, it's a tie in model released post-Codex. I'm not even in the 40k loop anymore and I could have told you that.

11th is in like 6 months he'll be in the Codex with the 18 other Ultramarines characters, don't worry.

I’d rather we just have more open wargear options for generic captains then multitudes of bespoke datasheets.

I think its going the other way. I remember when the Primaris Champion wend on special order, and was in the edition change starter PDF. Then the codex dropped and he went back to legends right after they shipped him out.

Unless you are named Valerian, you go straight to Legends if you are Limited Edition.

I'm amused they're still giving all these Primaris characters the ability to join Tactical Squads.

They have to now, but probably not in 11th.

Rumor is we're getting a new tactical squad in 11th.

I think the Tac Squad is going away. All the Bespoke Squads that was based on Tacs/Firstborn has transitioned to Intercessor based (Death Company, Sternguard, Crusader Squads, Sword Brethren, Deathwatch Teams, Blood Claws, Grey Hunters, Wolf Guard Battle Leaders. There's nothing left "protecting" Tacs. Tacs are gone. I think we're getting new Devs because they're not going to replace Devs anymore. I think they were replacing Devs, but ran out of time and goodwill. They've got Missile Launcher Squads in Desolators, Plamsa in Hellbalsters, SORT OF Melta Squads in Eradicators, and Sort of Heavy Bolter Squads in HINTS we're still missing Grav and Las - and Melta and Bolters if the Sort Of weren't supposed to be the replacement. Regardless they don't have the good will to add two more Heavy Support SM Squads before they squad Devs, so I think Devs cross the Rubicon, and Tacs fade away.

I also think the bespoke Dreads are also going to cross the Rubicon. The Brutalis screams Furioso, Bjorn and Wulfen Dreads.
