Just thought I'd throw this question out there.
Have the Karists ever experimented with using Angels as a sort of wearable bioarmor in an X-O Manowar Shanhara / "We Are Venom" sort of way?
Nope . . . but they've got tons of Carnage-alikes!
Really?
No.
Good. Carnage is kind of dumb.
And you think X-O Manowar and Venom are high literature?
It's hard not to love the pulp majesty of Conan the barbarian wearing sentient symbiotic armor made by space spiders, but you make a good point.*
Anyhow, is mutable armor level Angel / human cooperation way beyond what Karist keepers will ever be capable of doing, or is it something that could or might happen in the future?
Well, we've already got the Kaigus Pact doing that living Alien armor kind of thing, and Karists think the Pact are heretical doofuses.
I know. I'm not saying wearable Angels would be a good idea for Maelstrom's Edge lore, game balance, sales, or make any sense. But once the thought hit me I had to ask.
*For those unversed in Valiant comics lore, that's basically what X-O Manowar was. Aric of Dacia was a Visigoth barbarian captured by aliens who stole their most sophisticated living weapon. His sentient armor's name was Shanhara.
