I am beginning to paint my Night Lords. The primary colours being used are Black, White and Red with Blue highlights. On black panels I want to create lightning motifs, I do I accomplish this on large surfaces and smaller surfaces?

what I did was to paint jags of white in whatever lightning pattern you want, then line one side of the jags with 1-2 light shades of gray getting darker away from white. I liked the results and it was easy. I found it on the internet somewhere but I don't remember where now

Do not use the CLEAR dice!

Dear Whiny Space Marine Players,
you get 3+ armor saves on all your troops (save scouts), Assault cannons, a huge assortment of vehicles and weapons, arguably one of the best if not THE best tank in the game, funny helmets, and a partrige in a pear tree.

suck it up, space marines. You're the emperor's chosen superhuman warriors. stop whining like a guardsmen and take it like a superman!

What you might want to do is first, paint your lightning strike patterin in Midnight blue and then put the white/grey on top of that with a little blue showing at the edges.

I was also going to suggest doing the lines in blue first and then white. I've also seen purple used as a base under the white for a more mystical/magic look.

Also, check out The Weather Channels website (I think they have a photo section) and other pictures of lightning. It helps to have a pic close by when painting to get realistic looking forks and arcs.
