Taking in the advice from helpful posters, I have found a way to add armor onto the Valkyries dresses while still keeping their style and character, and I am very pleased with the results.

Here's the newest squad with the added thigh-plates.

Let me know what you think.   ^_^

Man, that's the joy of Anime! To revel in the complete and utter wastefullness of making an unstoppable nuclear-powered combat andriod in the shape of a cute little girl, who has the ability to fall in love and wears an enormous bow in her hair.

I don't like them, make the girls look even more bottom heavy than before. I don't think they need armor on the skirts myself.

They look a little thick (the armour plates, not the girls); I'd be tempted to sand them down or otherwise 'thinnerise' them before sticking them on. Or mount them higher to look like armoured ammo pouches perhaps?

Frankly I don't like the fact that their figure is so obviously female, they're supposed to be using the armor to take hits for them, right now it looks like the armor is trying to accentuate their figures.

It's a good effort, but the only place were armor would look like that is in a male fantasy, not a battlefield.

Just remember, they are your models and if you wanted them to have hangmans nooses and prehensile tails and everyone on earth thought they should have donkey ears and 4 arms it would be up to you.

Personally I liked them without the extra armor, and I like them with the extra armor, but I do tend to agree with Clang, might wanna thin out the plates just a little, cut them down by about half and I think you'll have it.

That's really harsh.  Yeah 'real' powered armor would not have breasts but it's not like they're the Red Sonja Army.

Well, that's silly.  If we limited 40K to things that were realistic, what would be left?

40K is supposed to be exaggerated and over the top.  That's the fun of it.

Um, this entire game is a male fantasy.

Complete with seeds imbedded into the chests of young men.

I agree that the extra armor plates would look a bit better if there was about 1/16 of an inch sanded off the back to make them thinner. I think my biggens complaint about the army is that the weapons look so different from their equivelent. As an opponent, itt would drive me up a tree to remember what weapon counts as what.

I've seen the Reaper Exarch with both weapon options and both look like things you can buy in sex shops. A weapon should not look like this, not even a Emperor's Children weapon. -Symbio Joe

While it's true that this is a fantasy game, it's a gritty, dark one, not well suited to the shapely armor used in this conversion.

Looking at the SoB as a precedent, you can see that the female warriors in the game lack the obviously feminine look that yours have. Adding a little more bulk to the chest area to make it look more protective would help in my mind.

However like others have said, it's an over the top game so do what you want, this is just my two cents.

Um, SoBs have armored corsets, leather skirts and SKULL BRAS.  Not my choice of femine wear but definitely not practical or unisex.

Hmmm, I guess I wasn't looking close enough - the stock photos on the GW website are too small. After examining larger images, I retract my previous statements, thanks for setting me straight Kyoto.

I still think that less obviously female armor would look cooler.

Just accept that boobs help to sell this game. It gives female players an obviously female choice of armies... as well as giving male players a variety of stuff to paint. It's also attracts perverts but then again so does Slaanesh.

I think they look really good and suit the idea of being allies of the Admech.

Their armour looks like a more cobbled together version of Power armour, I think it reflects their origins well.

Quite like that they're armed with something more techy than bolters too.

You're right. Ogre Kingdoms has proven this true.
