I found a selection of "industrial" bases from Champ Industries which are useable for Necromunda/40k and was wondering what (if any) other plastic bases are available?  I know the variety is better with resin, but I prefer plastic where possible.

Thanks.

What RanTheCid is getting at, outside of Greed Worships overpriced mucketey muck, Champ Industries is the only company that makes textured bases, sci-fi or otherwise. Resin is your only other option, of which there are plenty and is fitting since it's a very, very small niche in a small niche market.

Warmachine has a different style of plastic base.

So hard to type in the text editor.

Now that Nyarl is done reading my mind... I surf the net all to much at work. Champ Industries is the only place I've seen to produce textured plastic bases. Resin is much more common. Epi Cast also has cast bases, but you should have already seen the review off of the Painting Clinic for that product.

If you just want something different, the WarMachine bases are plastic slotta bases. They are just more rounded & deeper than the GW design.

The only other all-plastic alternative I can think of is scratch building your own. This sounds about 100X harder than it actualy is (ie: it is really, really easy to do). Cheap "tread plate" or "diamond plate" can be had through Plastruct and (probably) Evergreen, amongst others. They also have all sorts of industrial shapes (ie: I-beams, L-beams, H-beams, etc..) in various scales and in some form of extruded styrene. The last bit is some clippings of the sprues you (should) already have laying around from older kits and and spare gubbins and so forth.

Here's some WIP urban rubble bases I did for a unit of Grey Knights (that I've stalled on). All the bases need is a bit of sand and they're done:

All were really easy to do. In a single evening one could easily knock out 20-30 (or even more) such bases. Fun to build too.
