I'm in for 1 right now, but I have to run by the additional spending with Mrs. Blacksails. I'd like to know if this is the price we'll see in store after the KS before I go balls out right now.

Yeah, I'm certainly not, which is why picking up 3 now seems like the better deal. Hopefully the wife agrees.

The big stuff is generally half the retail cost, with some pieces coming in at different discount levels depending on production costs.

given the size and complexity of the model, and that it's $30 even at KS, I'm guessing it'll retail for $60-70. Dragon's Don't Share was $35 in the Bones II Kickstarter, and retails for $75.

Any licensing agreement could add some cash to the final retail price as well.

Just note- you can only receive 10 per account. You'll have to make another account for every 10 you order essentially.

I doubt anyone would actually do that, but I think it bears repeating.

Yes that is correct, it will be at least double the KS price. Possibly $70. TBC.

Thanks for the clarification. Still a reasonable price for all that material and quality. Though I'm really pushed to get the three I want now...

Before I feth this up, I need to go in at the $1 pledge level, then manage my pledge up to $30 or $30 increments for each one I want, correct? Then after the KS, I confirm that I want 56 M22 BFGs.

Seriously though, that looks amazing, and the price is just perfect. Well done to both Vic and Jake. Beautiful model and crew.

Thanks
I believe that is correct. You go in for $1 and then add whatever you want. There is lots of info about it on the KS page.

Lovely model - but being that large, I wonder how much they'll add to the shipping costs? For us overseas types, it might be cheaper or around the same price to order them from Reaper at full RRP with free shipping over $100.

Yeah, its a little confusing, but I think I've got it figured out with the Reaper calculator.

I can't commend you and Jake enough for this. Its a stunning model with excellent crew members, all at an incredibly price. Hell, the crew members even look Tannenburg-ish enough to blend right in to my army.

My Reaper calculator thing put an additional almost $8 on top of the kit for one.

So...not a small amount.

Retail is usually double the addon price. So ~$60 vs $38. Of course Vic may sell the crew separately bringing the price down. Of course, this is the first collaborative Bones miniature, so this may actually be a lot closer to retail.

You're in Canada - right next door. I was thinking more of Europeans and Aussies. I think it'll be more than $8 extra for us.

It makes not as much of a difference as most of us would think, though. Canada is overseas in American minds. As in: "Most of our imports come from overseas."

@Azazalx
They have a very accurate pledge calculator that estimates shipping. They mentioned being within a couple of cents of error last campaign.

A few posts back Vic said likely $70+ for the retail price..

Vic is in the KS chat right now doing live QA about the piece.

Here's my questions and her answers!
Thanks for the great feedback, I'll try to answer some.
How far can the main cannon traverse? It looks like it has a fairly limited arc.
I'm not 100% sure, I'd have to chack with Jake. I think it goes from horizontal to about 45 degrees.
Are there plans for a tractor for it?
Yes
Will the bonesium crewmembers be multipart?
Probably some will have separate arms for casting.
Any word on the types of accessories that will be available post Kickstarter?
Crawler tracks, blast shield, limber already nearly done.

I'm pledging for three guns and a pack of not-StarCrap marines, total shipping: $18.35 for me!

Tasmania.. Which way's Oregon from here again?

Without playing with the model, you should get about 45 or so degrees of positive vertical traverse. There's no horizontal traverse.

Limber is done , crawler tracks were done first (then V asked for wheels as well). Gun shield is in the cards once I get the computer fixed. (Also waiting on internet hookup so I can flip pictures to V).

There might be a shorter barrel, larger bore siege mortar based on it as well as the shells for it available later.

I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.
