They look strangely squat to me.

They look nice . Folds are right - I mean look realistic, no like GW Valhallans. Really nice.
Can't wait to see other parts. Keep on a good job.

I think its because the coats are so long. Plus "heroic" minis tend to have shorter legs, as thats just part of that style.

The squatness looks like a combination of the camera angle and length of the coat. Lots of cameras have a bit of a fish eye distortion when taking close up pics of minis, it has to do with the camera's macro function.

When viewed straight on like the last pic it looks fine. Having bought some of Steve's parts in the past I know that he takes great pains to make sure all the parts match up right and that everything is in proper scale.

No worries - that pic there (which I think I've seen before and should have remembered!) does the job well - they look great!

How about something like Mosin carabine? Personally I would put kneeling legs to 2nd or 3rd position.
Or perhaps summer uniforms could be at buttom

But all and all, very nice work !!!

Summer uniforms could be another project at some point but they won't happen this time. A Mosin wouldn't fit with the modular arms so it probably won't happen either.

Well, ok. Still you are a pioneer with this Russian/Soviet theme, so I will watch madrobot pages and forum closely and will be very happy to see some more from this theme.
