And of course I regret it!

BUt I'm in for this one - and probably in for a lot!

Loving the look of these minis, and the rules are certainly crunchy enough for me!

Can't wait to get these minis in - I'm starting to plan out my terrain already too...

Good times!

I just wish I could get Mierce's Forum Admin to respond to my lost password requests, as I'd love to get back on to their Official Forum too!

From what's been said about the teams computer skills I suspect it's probably Rob, so I'd use the KS contact to ask him to resend it

That's a little misleading because you can add a Skirmish Host to another pledge eg I have pledged Sweet Spot and am adding the Ysian Skirmish Host to that.

You can pledge I WANT SOME COOL MINIATURES. Then go to the site and find the miniatures you want(some maybe added later). Add up the RRP and take 20% off. Add that to the I WANT SOME COOL MINIATURES pledge. You just saved yourself 10% more and if the total pledge is over 150 you get a free miniature Danilo Cruz.

It didn't quite work like that in KS1.

I will leave it to Mierce or someone better acquainted with KS rules to explain, as I wouldn't want to say something out of turn and drop someone in it.

I think from what's been said by Rob in the comments this may be possible but

do check with them first as the 20% discount may only apply AFTER you've spent your KS cash as they won't want to further discount KS prices, (but since the models you're interesting are pre-existing so will be priced at retail rather than KS level they may be OK with it)

(also the 20% discount seems to be applicable to a single post KS order so if you are allowed to do it plan what you want and make sure you can buy it all at once)

Yes, Byzantii will be Roman remnants with a Daemonic influence. Atalantes are ancient greeks based on Atlantis. A few rumours abound on how they'll have a lot of bronze constructs.

On the Basilisks (called Líska), yes they have their own troops, but they are part of the Khthones faction. Here's one of the concept art pieces produced for KS1 (he's holding the head of a Mesaíkolossi Warrior - a mini Talos apparently!):

The rest is yet to be seen...

Whoa. Basilisks. Just art so far, no sculpts of them, right?

Confirmed in the KS comments yesterday, excess KS spend gets transferred over as store credit on the Mierce website.

pretty sure Rob said he has not yet made a decision that it will be 1 time order.

Ultimately it is your money. If you are concerned about it I would just send a message to Rob/MM through the KS.

If there's anyone in the US that really wants to hop on with the last KS, I can make an order for you thru the last KS account; Not all of it is still available, but let me know if I can help. Mierce has done me 100% right through this thing, so I'm happy to help anyone else hop on the Darklands train.

I assume the KS section will just have everything not in this KS at 20% off. Anything in this KS will be at whatever price it's listed at.

Yes. In KS1 we had a special Darklands section which has all the miniatures priced with the discount.

I was able to login to the Kickstarter v1 pledge manager and add the Anglecynn Starter set for £60 and Angrislaug for £40 or £45 the deals are still awesome. Mierce did mention they would be closing down the pledge manager very soon so they urge you to place orders ASAP. I was hoping to see Werwulfus before they close it I am not sure if I wanna gamble on them.

I don't think it is much of a risk. If you like Cearl you will probably like the Werwulfus. They are both being done by Benoit Cosse.

If they end up doing it like they did KS1, then it's fine. If they end up doing it with what is essentially a coupon code, then they're not complying with the Kickstarter terms (and I've seen several companies have to change their plans because of this violation, so KS may enforce it).

Guys,
It's not a coupon code, nor is it a voucher code. We're well aware of Kickstarter's policies!

After the Kickstarter ends, Kickstarter backers will manage their pledge on our website (in a special category only available to them) that lists all of the items on the current Kickstarter (at the prices listed), and also most if not all of the items already released by ourselves, at 20% off rrp. Kickstarter backers do not get a coupon or voucher, they just gain access to those items.

It's likely this Kickstarter category will stay open for Kickstarter items until they are released, and for those already released items for a month, so whilst more than one order could be made for those the time you have to order them is limited.

Hope that helps your planning guys.

Cheers

It's a matter of limited finance though. Theoretically I could put 2 grand in the KS and not have a concern about what is to come as I'd be getting it all, but like everyone else my hobby budget is finite so I prefer to keep the £30 pledge for now, which is limited in supply (the £5 discount version) and includes freebies, and wait to see if I should switch when I have all the information.

Agreed, while I would love to splurge all my moneys at this, I simply don't have the resources. Thanks to Mierce handling things this way means they'll likely get several hundred more pounds out of me over the coming months, whereas if I had to pledge it all up front, I simply couldn't do that just now.

Literally the same here. Although I actually haven't picked up any of the BIG guys at all, some I'm trying to decide on one for each of my current kindreds: Norse, Fomor, and Angelcynn.

My reply was not about your personal situation, but about the lack of skirmish host pledges in general not being a good indicator of pledging behaviour

The Melusines are from much earlier days.

The Angelcynn infantry is a better example of the kind of infantry quality from MM these days, and the kind I'm expecting for the Norse infantry! *girlish squeal of delight*

Man the Vikings just got up and are sweet. So worth it. After KS1 I can say that they communicate well (heck they are still putting on KS1 updates while KS2 is going on), make their goals, deliver on time and have very good customer service. I'm so in for KS2 and those Vikings will be mine. Now to find a longship.

Stunning. The troops triggered some sort of primal miniature loving instinct that got most of us in to the hobby way back when.
Penda on foot is just perfect. Meloda is very nicely done. Lady boob-belt is showing her age but would be fine in the context of any other range.
I'm getting mounted Penda with wolf helm as well but that's not done yet afaik.

Revell do a 1/50 scale longship kit: this is not too bad if you're not too bothered about scale (it's a little small), priced affordably

Grippingbeast has a much nicer resin on http://www.grippingbeast.com/product.php?ItemID=369 (OOS but apparently if you contact them they may well be able to cast one up for you), more expensive
