While we are talking all things Asterians we have killed off the Drone Swarm! We nominated them because we could never quite get the concept right, they always looked weird and never really fit in with the feel of the army. So what we’ve done is replace these with a Cypher with the new Force Rifle, so you'll be gaining a new special weapon and a full infantry figure instead of 2 small spidery things. Much cooler, and much more befitting the army!

Secondly, we’ve also rebalanced the Asterian Faction Booster Bundle, dropping the basic Cypher with Flux Rifle, and replacing him with a very-awesome specialist Black Talon instead.

If the drones swarms or the Flux rifle were the absolute clincher for you then let us know and we can credit or swap to a different faction - but I think the Asterian faction looks and feels a lot cooler this way and you will be very pleased with the results.q

How many charge glove Cyphers are going to present, seeing as how the graphic and stretch goals never tallied and this hasn't been commented on by Mantic anywhere?

Believe it or not, I can read the basic updates, I'm just more interested in what they're not telling me.

Also, it might just be the tiny picture, but it looks like the booster bundle has two Cyphers with flux rifles, so are losing both for a single Black Talon? Are they both being replaced? Is only one?

I'm not interested in chunks of text that explain in detail what's being changed unless they're accompanied with a new itemised list. If I have to have one or the other, just give me a list.

I'm at work and can't get into my pledge manager. I don't remember seeing the terrain expansion in there. How do we add it and what was the pricing? Thanks for anyone who can give info.

It's all in the OP of this thread, you can add it by resubmitting your survey.

$8 per sprue or $25 for 4 of the new expansion sprues.

Time to start getting my information together of what I'm buying. Blah. I still want pictures of enforcers. Pictures are pretty enough, and I'll buy truckloads.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

And by the time they hit retail you will have two advantages:

1. You will have seen them.
2. They will be as cheap/maybe even cheaper by the time the discount retailers get them.

On the Enforcer sprues are they exactly the same as the resin plastic starter set? So there is a Peacekeeper Captain, missile launcher etc etc? I still feel quite uninformed about them.

Enforcer sprues are not the same as the restic starter set.

Hard plastic Enforcers are going to be:

Enforcer with rifle
Enforcer with incinerator
Enforcer with burst laser
Assault Enforcer
Enforcer sergeant.

Everything else remains restic or hard plastic/ restic hybrid.

I assume that the existence of the metal special weapon enforcer means that frag launcher/ thermal rifle are not being included as an option on the sprue. Bit of a bummer really, reminds me of the plastic GW cadians that only came with grenade launcher and flamer and the actually useful weapons (plasma/ melta) had to be bought in metal... or more commonly kitbashed... but Mantic doesn't have the spare bits to do that.

I don't know how the Enforcers will be armed in Warpath, but I think it would sensible to create sprues with options for five rifles as well as one each of each specialist type. Any other way would be pretty stupid.

Thats what I'd assume, they wouldn't want to waste the opportunity and have to retool for warpath!

guess we'll have to wait till friday update.

One things for sure the friday update had better be a full and comprehensive list of whats coming in each booster and booster bundle plus the sprue content. With so many things still up in the air before the deadline it could be chaos in the comments. They'd be better off extending the deadline if they can't answer everyone's questions until their sure whats happening.

Getting a bit annoyed with this flapping around :(

There are just 3 days until the end of the FINAL survey – making this your LAST chance to get Deadzone goodies at Kickstarter prices.

In this update, we’re going to clarify what’s happening with the Forge Fathers, Asterians and Enforcer plastics – plus clear up any confusion around the Strider – and we’ve got some previews of the new metal add-ons.

Before we begin, don’t forget that you can fill out the survey again if you want to amend your second survey selections. Just follow the link that is in your Kickstarter inbox.
Enforcers

The Enforcers are going into hard plastic. We do not yet have a sprue to show off, as the mould is not finished. Once the mould is done we will get test shots, take some pictures and show them off.

The sprue will have the following components:

- 5 x Bodies (Torso and Legs)

- 5 x Blade Arms (Left and right arm options)

- 5 x Pistol Arms (Left and right arm options to match Blade Arms)

- 5 x Pairs of Rifle Arms

- 1 x Burst Laser/Incinerator (right arm with gun)

- 1 x heavy weapon left arm (for use with either the burst laser or incinerator)

- 1 x Incinerator Backpack

- 8 x Heads: 4 x Troopers, 1 x Heavy Weapon, 1 x Sergeant, 2 x Defenders

- 1 x Sergeant Energy Gauntlet

- 1 x Sergeant Rank Marking accessory

- 2 x Grenade accessory

- 1 x Holstered pistol accessory

- 2 x ammo pouch accessory

- 2 x Multi-tool accessory

That means that you can build either a five-man squad with rifles, sergeant and heavy weapon, or an Assault Squad with sergeant and heavy weapon, plus extra accessories. Pretty cool huh?

Sergeant Howlett is ready to lead your Enforcers into battle

How many sprues do I get?

In June, we will ship you 2 Enforcer Troop sprues per Faction Starter.

The Enforcer Booster will get 1 Enforcer Troop sprue, plus some resin plastic bits. This will allow you to build:

- 1 x Enforcer Sergeant

- 1 x Enforcer with Burst Laser/Incinerator

- 2 x Enforcer Defenders (Shields and Shotguns in resin plastic)

- 1 x Enforcer Medic (NOTE this figure is entirely resin plastic)

- 1 x BONUS Enforcer (can be built with rifle or assault blades)

The Enforcer Booster Bundle will have 2 sprues (1 sprue per booster), plus the resin plastic specialists, meaning you will be receiving:

- 2 Medics

- 4 Defenders

- 2 Enforcer Sergeants

- 2 Enforcers with Burst Laser/Incinerator

- 2 BONUS Enforcers (can be built with rifles or assault blades)

- Enforcer Engineer

- Enforcer Sniper

- Enforcer with Missile Launcher

- 2 x Sentry Gun

But what about individual models?

Anyone who has bought individual Enforcer models will receive an email from us to let you know what’s happening with the individuals. Don’t worry – it’s good news!!
Asterians

The Asterian Faction Starter is now confirmed as:

- 1 Commander

- 5 Cyphers with Flux Rifle

- 4 Wardens with Charge Gloves

- 2 x Weapon Drone with 1 set of weapon options

- 1 x Cypher with Fission Beamer

- 1 x Black Talon

The Asterian Faction Booster is now confirmed as:

- 1 x Asterian Jetbike

- 1 x Cypher with missile launcher

- 1 x Cypher prime

- 1 x Cypher with Force Rifle

Asterian Faction Booster Bundle is now confirmed as:

- 2 x Asterian Jetbike

- 2 x Cypher with missile launcher

- 2 x Cypher Prime

- 2 x Cypher with Force Rifle

- 1 x Black Talon

- 1 x Warden with Charge Glove

- 1 x Cypher with Fission Beamer

- 2 x Weapon Drone with 1 set of weapon options

Forge Fathers

There was a little confusion surrounding the contents of the Forge Fathers after the last update, so here is a clear list of contents:

Forge Father Faction Starter

- 1 x 6-figure Forge Guard Hard Plastic sprue containing: 1 x Huscarl, 5 x Forge Guard with Hailstorm Rifles, 1 x Missile Launcher Heavy Weapon option, 1 x Hailstorm Autocannon Heavy Weapon option and 1 x Heat Cannon Heavy Weapon option

- 6 x Brokkrs with Pistols and Heat Hammers (Resin Plastic)

- 2 x Brokkrs with Muspell Rifle (Resin Plastic)

- 1 x Mining Laser with Brokkr Engineer Crewman (Resin Plastic)

If you compare this to the starter offered on the original Kickstarter, you are getting a bonus Forge Guard with Missile Launcher and a bonus Brokkr with Muspell Rifle!

Forge Father Faction Booster confirmed as including:

- 1 x Valkyr Bike (Resin Plastic)

- 1 x Chief Brokkr Hero (Resin Plastic)

- 1 x Brokkr Engineer with Remote Bomb-bot (Resin Plastic)

Almost all people (99.5%) who ordered a Faction Booster did so alongside a Forge Father Faction Starter meaning that your total contents is still more this way than what it was previously!

Forge Father Faction Booster Bundle confirmed as including:

- 2 x Valkyr Bike (Resin Plastic)

- 2 x Chief Brokkr Hero (Resin Plastic)

- 2 x Brokkr Engineer with Remote Bomb-bot (Resin Plastic)

- 1 x 6-figure Forge Guard Hard Plastic sprue containing: 1 x Huscarl, 5 x Forge Guard with Hailstorm Rifles, 1 x Missile Launcher Heavy Weapon option, 1 x Hailstorm Autocannon Heavy Weapon option and 1 x Heat Cannon Heavy Weapon option

The Booster Bundle is the best way to upgrade your Forge Father Faction Starter. If you’ve ordered the Forge Father Faction Booster without a Forge Father Faction Starter and are unhappy, please do message us and we’ll sort you out!

Alternatively you can simply fill out the second survey again and confirm your choices.
Strider

As we mentioned previously, the Strider has been upgraded to plastic resin and you get 2 for every 1 you ordered.

That means if you ordered 1 Corporation Strider on the original survey, you are actually getting 2 Striders. If you ordered 1 Corporation Strider and 1 Plague Strider on the original survey, you are actually getting 4 Striders, and so on.

Strider WIP - this model is not posed. Does not contain the grilled armour plate on the canopy, it looked silly on the physical model so we took it off. Big shooty gun rifle is still included though!!

Each Strider allows you to build one of three variants, and each can have either a closed or open cockpit. Here’s a breakdown of the key components:

- 3 variant pilots: 1 Plague, 1 Corporation with choice of either a Corporation or Rebs head.

- 1 Open Cockpit with guard rails

- 1 Sealed Cockpit with Closed Canopy

- 1 Sealed Cockpit with Smashed Canopy

- 2-handed Rifle

- 1 Chainblade

- 1 Flamer

- Extra armour components

- Shoulder mounted missile launcher

- Various banners to "Rebsify" (tm) your Strider.
And finally

We’ve now updated all of the Asterian and Forge Father images on the survey to reflect the final components in the Faction Starters, Boosters and Booster Bundles.

We’ve also got some new shots of most of the new additions to the final survey. Here we go!

Sorak Swordspawn

Please note: there is a known issue on the survey that if you select the Sorak Swordspawn, it is not appearing on the confirmation email. Don’t worry, if you’ve selected it, you’ve ordered it.

Plague Enforcer

Forge Father Urban Demolisher

Asterian Pulse Bombard weapon attachment

Marauder Commando Upgrade

Marauder Heads from Commando Upgrade pack. Which designs do you prefer? Pack also includes special weapons.

Enforcer with Thermal Rifle/Fusion Gun

Right then, that should be everything you need to know to get your final survey in before Sunday midnight 30th March!

Remember it is your last chance to take us up on the Buy One Get One Free deals, the ridiculous price on the Peacekeepers - don't forget your scenery expansion sprues - and more.

Nice to finally have all of the contents confirmed, still looks like the Forge Father/Asterian boosters are not too good value wise. Then again the starters look great value.

Hilarious good or hilarious bad SS? Always an issue when previous designs are adapted into new models.

I'm not quite sure! Just find it amusing, the whole "shoot them then run them over just to make sure" design of the thing.

Dakka Dakka Vroom Vroom!

Also... if you look at the model.. and the position/size of the cannon.. I'll leave that as an exercise for the reader.

Just confirmed via the KS comments that they WILL NOT be offering individual sprues on the 2nd survey. I assume this is because they fear they will not be able to meet demand rather than anything else.

Considering that one of the major advantages of proper plastic is that you can just churn the stuff out by the truckload, if that's true they're doing something horribly wrong.

The update's biggest news is that the second laser drill / mining platform with crewman has been removed from the Forge Fathers booster bundle. Yep, it has, even though they didn't directly draw attention to that fact - just compare the previous list / image on the KS front page with the current one. I'm disappointed in Mantic for not making this change clear in the text. Caveat emptor.

Previously I only thought that buying a single Forge Father booster no longer made sense. There was no reason changing the Forge Guard to hard plastic had to have any impact on the inclusion of the extra laser drill. I'm disappointed, and will be dropping the FF completely since the starter prices aren't really that good either.
