I'd be content with new spears and archers, but updated Silver Helms is also welcome. Have hatchling/young dragon riders been ruled out for a monstrous cavalry pick?

god I hope not - that sounds rubbish - why would they risk the young dragons in this way?

Yeah, I always got the impression that the dragons were increasingly rare - it just sounds like the sort of release that would fit the current trend of 'big' that GW seems to favour right now. Personally I've always preferred my High Elves to have a more regimented structure to them, and leave the gimmicky stuff to Skaven, etc.

They already have Lion chariot and Griffin and Dragon riders.
They might go for mixed White Lion/Axemen units
I wouldn't be suprised if the Everqueen is in some form of huge chariot like the Lahmiran chariot (which would be cool tbh) - hopefully not a giant shell.............

Might play into the rumor about the drake riders being wingless. So "technically" not dragons, but some lesser expendable race viewed down upon by Elves and Dragons. Automatically Appended Next Post:

thats correct. The concept artwork is going to be the new cover apparently and it looks like the new big monster kit for the HEs is going to be what looks like phoenix guard on phoenixes if my eyes do not deceive me.
Plus you can see the chariot part of the flying eagle chariot and what I believe are the new maiden guard behind them or new LSG!
So stoked!

apparently these pics were posted all over north america GWs individual store facebook pages. I got these from Jacksonville FL and other showed up from Denver CO and other places.

They are very nice. I would have preferred a non-magical great eagle that looks like that. For me the image that defines High Elves the best is a drawing from their army book 3-4 cycles ago featuring a herald of Hoeth with a spear and banner riding a great eagle through the great gates of Ulthuan. That's already pretty fantastic. You don't have to make the eagle on fire to make it any cooler.
But I have to admit they look pretty good, and the fire pheonix looks great. Not sure about the snow flakes on the ice pheonix. though. They're stupidly oversized and look like fallen leaves. Might have looked better to just have some ice crystals.
Granted, only a tiny portion of the flying chariot is visible in the picture, but I'm ready to call it completely ridiculous.

Remember that the rumor is the Spearmen are being updated in a "later wave", not straight off the bat.
And the photos are now gone from Facebook.

The Frost Phoenix is reminding me of Japanese cartoons for some reason, can't put my finger on it.
I do hope all these models are going to be limited somehow or it's going to turn into a flying circus of dragons, gryphons, flying chariots and phoenixes. It's getting a bit OTT in fantasy of late for my liking, like their about to swing back to hero hammer.

I love the phoenixes, especially the frost one. And i don't really have any issues with the archers and spearmen, i like them. Silver helms could use some updating but seeing them.move to core would be great since i have around 16 waiting for assembly
