Wouldn't it be more likely they release a miniature alongside a data slate or white dwarf you can buy, then release a compilation at the end?

Anyway, back OT. If the hammerers and the longbeards are like this, there doesn't seem to be too much creative freedom for any new ironbreakers. All these units could end up looking the same.

Can someone link me to the old dwarf rumor thread? I can't find anything in this thread except about these few releases (the longbeards, hammerers, and two characters). Seemingly, more would follow the week the book comes out... do we know what those are? There was a big kit rumored earlier...

Have no fear, the stunties are on the march - headed your way in February. Here is the rundown of new kits coming down the mountain.

Latest word speaks of:

Dwarfs - February (I'd bet on February 8th)

The Kits:

Plastic Tunneling Vehicle
Plastic infantry heavy armor unit kit (dual-build)
Plastic infantry light armor unit kit (dual-build)

Plastic War Altar
Plastic New VERY large gun/cannon
Plastic Beefier Gyrocopter

Clampack Lord

No finecast was mentioned at all. If you look at what needs plastic kits in the existing Dwarf range, and look to the old-unit/new unit splits in the Dark Elves release for inspiration, it's not too hard to figure out what's coming.

These latest set descriptions dovetail almost exactly with Spanish rumors from early November.

You would think next weeks pics would be leaked by now or starting to be leaked.

People are saying the light armor dual kit was mistranslated, but I'm hoping it is warriors/quarelers/thunderers. It has been reported that it is in fact slayers and a "new berserker" unit.

I was hoping for new warriors and cannon kits, but since they appear next to the new units in this weeks WDW, my guess is that hey will not be re-released.

Ok went to my FLGS and they were selling the weekly white dwarf issue 1.

Belegar Ironhammer Rocks ,though it does not mention his armor so assume it's gromril
He can double his attacks once per game, has a 4+ ward save, immune to any sort of killing blow and has +1 to wound with ASF

They only discuss the Hammer/Longbeard kit and the two hero clam packs. Nothing else is discussed in the articles. I will have to go over it again to see if there is anything I missed.

Also a beard painting tutorial which is nice.

I guess they are really trying to get rid of those metal slayers! It looks weird seeing the new slayer standing next to the old metal models. Looks like two different companies!

It's GW's new system, apparently. Instead of waiting for the book to release everything, they are now releasing new sets periodically regardless of whether or not the book is done yet.

This can either be interpreted in 2 ways:

1) They are trying to gain favor with the players of neglected factions

2) They are trying to make some more money.

No codex listed online. Guess that means there will be a new one at the end of the month.

I assume this squashes the hopes of a new warriors box, as they are still listed.

Looks like the finecast Runelord and Engineer aren't listed, guess we can start speculating on what the next two clampacks are!

$50 for 10 is absurd. Especially since you will probably need at minimum two boxes to make one unit. However, we can't be certain as there is NO CODEX....yet.

I like the 360deg. view of the Slayer, It is more representative than the picture we saw in the White Dwarf.

guess that means that they wont be new slayer in the near future.

Longbeards/Hammerers are in both Core and Special as well.

Come to think of it...

The Thunderers/Quarrelers box can also build Rangers.

Thunderers and Quarrelers as "Core" with Rangers as "Rare" would reaaaaaaaaallly require some big changes to Rangers.

Not particularly. The White Dwarf, even when he does not have rules for that edition, is likely just placed in there so that people can know that "He can be used as a Dwarf Lord/Hero" if someone so chose.

Man, I am getting sticker shock. Not that I thought about buying these, but... $200 for a horde-sized (40-strong) unit. That's crazy train territory
