**Relaxdesign Minis**

The above pic will be updated as I progress.

I'm painting them to what I'd refer to as a high table top standard rather than a competition one due to the size of the force, I don't want to paint marines forever

It's pretty large and will eventually consist of a full battle company, pretty much a full Chapter HQ and a large Ad Mech section along with lots of other goodies.

Once complete I'll be selling it in battle groups contained in KR Multicases on eBay to fund my next force (possibly Forgeworld's Heresy era Mechanicus) as well as hopefully advertise my painting services.

I dont think you can improve those models. Theyre that good. Only changes would be an entire theme change or something along those lines (wear and tear would be included in this thought)

There's actually two termie squads in there, I probably won't add more though as the fluff dictates that the Scorps have less Terminator armour and scout squads than other chapters.

For the infantry I've currently got 4 full tactical squads, 20 scouts, 1 full devastator squad and 1 full assault squad along with vanguard and sternguard vets.

I'll be adding 4 more tactical, 2 more assault and 1 more devastator plus some more vets.

I've also got a thunderfire cannon on my painting desk as we speak, I'll be posting some pics when it's done

Awesome work, awesome force as well. I just can't find the motivation to paint troops, I alway end up doing my vehicles and special characters etc first. So major kudos for your patience and perseverance! Lol

Wow, these all look amazing! I like the unique flavour of all the units too, they all have a little something to them that makes them stand out. The Fellblade, and the Deimos pattern tanks... just wow!

I'm not sure if I got their names right, but they really stand out. And I have a big soft spot for Captain Skull... yours is probably my favourite I've seen so far.

The latest additions/revisions. The full Red Scorpions Adeptus Mechanicus including the Master of the Forge with 6 Servo skulls, 1 Thunderfire Cannon with gunner, 1 Techmarine on a bike, 3 Techmarine's on foot (1 with servo harness) and 12 Servitors (6 with heavy weapons).

Next up I'll finish off the second of the Ltd edition Captains take a new full army shot to replace the current one and then start on the next Assault squad.

I dig the color scheme. I'm doing a yellow black grey scheme on my AM at the moment, and it's nice to see something similar. Might steal a little inspiration from you.

Nice idea with the AM, I posted link above to the painting guides on my FB page that show how I achieved it if you haven't seen them.

Yep the bases are unpainted sand over a black ground, combined with slate and gw's Middenland tufts then given a dusting of fw's dark sand weathering powder over the base and lower legs to tie it all together.
It needed to be fairly quick and easy as it's a pretty large force and personally I think it gives a good sense of scale as well.

Cheers for the comments, much appreciated

With the effect on the chainfist I used a mix of Tamiya clear red (this was before GW released their Blood for the blood god technical paint which would also work well if not better) and black ink with some PVA glue, let it dry until it was tacky and malleable then formed the shape, teased it out and coated with super glue to seal and harden it.
I added an extra thinned wash and clear red highlights on top once it was dry.
