@Troa: I won't hide them by default, they don't have that many options.
This was a requirement for C:SM, because they had around 90 entries in their list and it's not that bad for Blood Angels.
I also think that showing FW by default gives people a little push to accept the models in their battles

@Paradigm: The Archangels are a formation in the file, I did this because turning it into a Detachment takes a lot of work and I'll save that for after the holidays.
It's really complicated! To get technical:
I would have to make a Detachment in the main 40k-file.
Every non-Archangels unit should get a modifier that hides them if you select that Detachment.
And then I would need some way to put a limit of 10 to Veterans and Terminators, with another limit of 6 to Furioso.

Okay, but it looks like I can add two God Shackles to an army if I have a Mephrit Dynasty CAD and a C'tan Shard formation.

You were right, I put them on max 1 in force.
Now it should be at a maximum of 1 per army.

I based this on: Characters with the Necrons Faction that are part of a Detachment or Formation presented in this book can select an item from the Relics of the War in Heaven list at the points cost shown. Only one of each of the relics may be chosen per army -- there is only one of each of these items in the galaxy."

The other thing I am noticing is that the 3 troop requirement is missing if you run the Mephrit Dynasty CAD. It only requires 2 troops.

There's currently no option to take independent Lords and Crypteks in an unbound list.

Aah, that might be the mistake: You shouldn't select a CAD! A CAD always has 2-6 Troops.
Create a new roster and under Force Type you select the Mephrit Dynasty Cohort, that should set your Troops to 3-8.

You probably selected the entry called "Detachment-source", but that only shows the Relics and Traits, it does nothing to the unit requirements.

One technical thing! At the moment I did it like this: "Show this Relic if Detachment-Source has the option Exterminatus selected."
I could rewrite that to: "Show this Relic if the Force Type is <Detachment 1> or <Formation X> or <Formation Y> or <Formation Z>"
That will take a lot of time and I'd rather wait for the Codex to be released before I will do that.

But is that even allowed? At the moment they seem to be a sub-entry from Royal Court and not units on their own.

If you agree with the Court of the Archon argument, then Crypteks and Necron Lords are HQ and can be purchased as such. Look at the top of the page in the Necron Codex and note that they are classified as HQ. It's when they are bought in a Royal Court that they don't take up an HQ slot.

I changed it so when you select Unbound or Apocalypse you have the RC as a HQ-option.

At the moment I cannot make the Lord or Cryptek a separate entry without redoing the entire RC, which is a waste of time with the new Codex coming soon.
This does basically the same thing

I was going through the Angel 's Wrath formation, and I noticed that for some reason that the Vanguard Veteran Sergeant can choose a Relic Blade for 0 pts when it should be 25 pts. Am I missing something?

5250 pts
3850 pts
Deathwatch: 1500 pts
Imperial Knights: 375 pts

Hmm, for some reason the Relic Blade is listed as zero points.
I'll get to work on that!

Good thing I realized it before I built my Vanguard Veterans. Now I need to figure out how I am going to get 25 pts back.

Oh, never use a program like this for modelling!
There might always be errors and typo's.
Glad you found the mistake in time!

Edit, I made a new release.
It contains a lot, but this is a summary:

Chaos Marines:
-Kharns Butcherhorde added.
-Changes to VOTLW
-Possessed added as Troops (Crimson Slaughter)
-Fixed Chaos Mark-point modifiers
-Fixed Cultist profile
-Pandorax LoW added: Tower of Skulls and Plaguereaper of Nurgle

Necrons:
-Changed Relics to be unique in the army instead of Detachment
-Renamed 'Detachment-source' to be clearer
-Added Royal Court for Unbound armies
-Tomb Citadel redone

Blood Angels:
-Added Artificer Armour to entries
-Made Warlord Traits optional so it doesn't show up unless you want to.
-Corrected Relic Blade for VV-Sgt
-Renamed 'Detachment-source' to be clearer

Rest:
A lot of small bug and error-fixes.

I know nobody takes him anymore, but I don't see Creed as a HQ option for AM/IG lists? Am I looking in the wrong place or is he MIA?

If in doubt, frag it out...

He's an upgrade for a Company Command Squad.
You switch the Commander with Lord Castellan Creed, which is included in the file.

When selecting An'rakyr the traveller, there's a problem giving the 'Phyrian eternal' (something like that) to a squad of immortals.

If you give the upgrade to a 5-man squad, the app tells you you have 4 too many. So the upgrade counts the amount of models instead of the amount of squads you've upgraded.

You don't have to be happy when you lose, just don't make winning the condition of your happiness.

Stupid me
The upgrade was per model ánd unique; that means it would always give an error.
I now turned it in a unit-upgrade and it no longer gives errors.
As usual this will be included in the next release.

Thank you, but never forget to learn the Codex and check on stuff.
With the different Detachments, etc, nowadays it's nearly impossible to make this 100% correct.

I see what caused this.
You can take a maximum of 2 items from that entire list, but you always have at least one right and one left-handed item.
Which means the Relics give errors.

Edit: Issue solved.

I am having trouble creating a roster with a Baal Strike Force and Formation Detachment (for ArcAngels) it says it's creating roster but fails, it doesn't even give me an error message, just takes me back to my front screen list of roaters.

Anyone else having this problem?

The new version of BS should fix that.

Okay, potentially stupid question.

You mean the Battlescrobe software itself rather than the datafiles?

Can I force the Battlescribe software to check for updates?

D

A bit of both!

You can see what version you have.
1.15.05 should be the latest version.

Having purchased the Epub version of a gw codex, I was slightly miffed to find no summary table for the army... could BS have the function to do this? I know you can print the army you have chosen, but it would be nice to be able to print a summary table of all weapons and units.

No, Battlescribe shows the summary profiles/rules for your selections.
You could select everything and get a summary?

PS. My ePub has an appendix with everything.

Thankyou for the reply! Could you check the stats of eldrad ulthran? I'm sure some stuff is missing... the path beyond for example.
Also are you able to separate the various allocations better?
Ie wargear: warlord trait: special rules: psyker...
It is definitely because i am new to the game. Once am familiar with the characters it will be easier! At the moment it is really daunting!

I asked someone to take a look at Eldrad, because I don't know about Eldar.

What do you mean with that separation?
We add entries to units and they are sorted alphabetically.
We could type 'Wargear: ' and 'Warlord Trait: ' before everything, but that would be more annoying than helpful.
Although I do tend to do this for the Trait, since it makes it easier to ignore the trait if he isn't the Warlord.

I'd like to know as to why Asterion Moloc from the Minotaurs Chapter is listed as having 3 base attacks on battlescribe but when I look it up on the forgeworld website, it says he has base 4. I'd just like for the information to be consistent/accurate thanks

Kangodo,

Thanks again mate for replying... I think you did understand what I meant. Just trying to separate the different unit allocations into their respective categories, as opposed to the lot being in one line.
I completely see what you are saying... It would all become unnecessary clutter the more familiar I become with the army and the units.
