I can't recall which but one of the three HH podcasts had a round estimated price coming directly from the WHW event given to him or coming from an attende. Which of course really means nothing, estimated £250-280

You mean the power chainaxes that have presumably been standard heresy-era issue for terminators since the metal 2nd edition Chaos Terminators came out in the 1990's carrying them? No, it's very appropriate that everyone gets those.

Will we see a new Thunderhawk transporter to carry the mastadon, or do we think the current one might be able to fit it?

Does the Thunderhawk transport the Mastadon? Or does the Mastadon transport the Thunderhawk? It’s probably got the cargo capacity to pull it off!

We've already seen how they are transported.

Spoiler:

Clearly they are hurled at the enemy from long distances by Warlord Titans.

The Transporter is bigger than a normal thunderhawk but seeing as the Stormbird model is built off of the transporter I don't think it'll be "transport a mastadon" big. That is unless they do an even bigger Stormbird than the one that's been shown.

The Mastadon probably has armoured ceramite, so it is probably dropped from low orbit like an oversized drop pod.

I don't think I'm a fan of the scales and fangs that will apparently be the AL design cues. The scales were already a thing IIRC for salamanders and the snake fangs just look a bit odd. They can't really just wear the fangs as that has/will be the Space Wolf thing. I think I may have prefered a full snake head skull detail modeled on the forehead of the helmet or somewhere else on the armor in a not too obnoxious pattern (I wouldn't want to turn them into GI Joe Cobra).

I makes me think of the old Marvel comics tharks.

Wondering Why the Emperor Left

'Murica! (again)

I wish I was back to the States before Adepticon this year, especially now:(

As far as rumors, or more accurately speculation, people are wondering what the HH Weekender event-only models will be and what surprises will pop up, besides the books we already know about from FW.

Here's what's "crossed my desk" (so, based on absolutely nothing)---

-single custodian HQ
-Next primarch either Dorn or Alpharius; Alpharius with & w/out helm; I think the ultimate surprise would be Alpharius & Omegon together
-Mastadon release (from WD)
-[deleted]
- Emperor's Children upgrade or something to reflect whatever better rules updates they give the Kakophoni

Anyone else want to dump fire wood on the speculation bonfire?

That is a really gorgeous sculpt although I really do have to agree with Mym there- yetmore Khorne......it's becoming Dull for the Dull God. Some Tz and giving some attention to Slannesh would be very welcome

Not really, that would be Archaon. Khorne has gotten more attention thanks to the Bloodbound, but that doesn't mean the other gods aren't getting up to similar amounts of mischief. I guess Khorne models are selling more because they won't make any new models for the other gods, so they need to make even more of them? logic™

I will admit I'm not sure what people are seeing in the Mastodon. I normally like FW vehicles but this one isn't really doing anything for me.

Just the design, honestly. Same reason why it doesn't do anything for some but does for others. Aside from huge models (which I love) the design is more unique for HH (IMO) and fits into my imagined battle unfolding in front of me on the tabletop. I also like the SW flyer and Cestus Assault Ram which others find blocky. Although there was a fun meme in 2014 with the SW flyer as a dog's head

That FW model looks like it has skull-acne also.. man and to think it went from "this looks promising" to "completely ignore"

Definitely skull overload and, to be honest, doesn't look like they're even trying with fantasy anymore. From what I can see, it's as generic as.

Pass. I'll be sticking with Darklands for my Fantasy fix.

That would be most excellent, fingers crossed for that.

8000 points of XI Legion the Space Vagabonds, they can adapt their tactics to represent any and every Legion and Chapter as needed because they were created by the Emperor to be the ultimate tactical power. They have faked their disappearance in order to infiltrate every part of the conflicts in the galaxy.

8000 points of Tau/Craftworld Eldar/Necron because the Space Vagabonds can also emulate their wargear and tactics.

Victories: ALL
Losses: NONE (My armies have the psychic ability to conjure a cataclysmic storm whenever they are about to lose. This allows the Space Vagabonds to teleport away while releasing power waves that destroys the battlefield and so every battle is a victory)

TN/AL/MS state line.

I'm digging how they managed the skulls-in-skin on that model(from what I can see). Triggers a bit of trypophobia.

Actually, yeah. Khorne HAS been "the big bad" for all intents and purposes. The AoS books have been focused more or less on specific Realms, and the battles against the Khorne Bloodbound have been the big ones in the Realm of Fire's Hellfire Peninsula.

Nurgle has been the other, with the Nurgle Rotbringers in the Realm of Life.
