Not enough Raiders for the amount of Wyches, not enough Reavers for a good sized unit (6 minimum if you ask me) and most importantly Wyches. What a worthless starter set.

You were expecting a GW Starter Set/Battleforce to be ultra competitive?

Looks like a good start to me if you want to do a Wych army, though.

Single box with loose sprues inside I would have thought.

I'm not sure I want (or need) any of these boxsets although I do like the look of the Imperial hessian bag though.

Is the Imperial building new?

Nope, looks like several terrain pieces combined.

Negative. Any of them that do not show the actual box(Skitarii Battle Maniple, Demi-Company, Elimination Maniple, Retaliation Cadre[!], Stormcast, Bloodbound, and the new terrain boxes) are just collections of boxed sets/clamshells.

I'm not sure I want (or need) any of these boxsets although I do like the look of the Imperial hessian bag though.

Well it's ANY purchase, not just of the new stuff from the reading.

Is the Imperial building new?

"Relicos Militarum" looks to be a new boxed set, featuring multiple "Shrines of the Aquila" and "Sanctum Imperialis".

The Relicos Militarum looks like a sweet design. I'd want to see if it's actually cheaper than buying a bunch of Shrine of the Aquillas, as I think it's priced at around the cost of 5 Shrines!

The Wych army is hilarious. Maybe there will be some forthcoming formation that makes Wyches actually not one of the most pointless units in the codex. What a waste of nice models, too.

It's not just a "bunch of Shrine of the Aquilas".

From what I can tell?
You're looking at 4x "Shrine of the Aquila" and quite a bit of other scenery.

The price difference, USD, is $68 over list. It could be a second Forgefiend...or a mistake or something. No real clue there.

The Hunter Cadre is currently $837 USD. The listed price in this booklet has it at $787, a $50 USD drop.

I should add as well that the Hunter Cadre is actually not a terrible set up. You have enough to do a full Hunter Cadre formation and if you cheap out and field a Drone Network(fielded from the Crisis Team/Strike/Breacher Teams' drones) you have a full Hunter Contingent.

Yeah the rest of the sets look alright (from a pricing perspective), the Chaos one is just odd.

The boxed sets(barring the scenery ones, which I can't check yet as there's something weird going on with the setups) save you around the price of a box/almost a whole box in there.

Everything barring the Chaos Marine one either saves you some money or are the same price as the items currently listed.

Nope, it's not.

I made the same mistake as you at first, but the WD was saying the kit was made of 16 sprues from 5 different kits. Problem is that it wasn't possible from what I was seeing as they were at least 4 shrines, some Remnants, one Basilica so we were already above 5 kits. Until I realized I misunderstood what the WD was saying.

The new scenery box doesn't contain full kits, just individual sprues from many different kits. For example you have the Eagle and ruin from the remnants but not the Statue, only part of the Shrine sprues and so on... thing is that the kit cost 200€ rrp for 16 sprues. So for barely more (207€ rrp), I could sell you 4 full Shrines, 1 box of remnant, one of Basilica and one Sanctum (at least theoretically as I seem to remember we no longer have access to the Shrine in store). Does anyone remember how many sprues are inside the full boxes as I'm curious to compare if it's actually a deal or not compared to individual boxes?

There you go then.
I haven't seen any White Dwarf stuff yet. Where was that stuff posted?

Shrine of the Aquila is 4 sprues and I have had the other stuff opened up for so long I can't tell you which sprues go with what anymore.

There are 16 sprues from 5 kits in the Relicos according to the next White Dwarf. There is a booklet in the box that includes an Altar of War mission and rules for all the (quote) scenery pieces in the box

I was just looking at the French WD that morning. Unlike the AoS Fort, I was unable to find a clear content description of the 40K scenery so I had to go from the picture.

EDIT-
... and I can remove my crappy attempt at describing the kit.

Well there you go, pictures are worth more than words. Thanks Warhams-77.

Warhams, thanks very much for the pics and the info and picture!

So... 16 sprues from 5 kits. This is actually a terrible deal, then. That's $15.62 per sprue ($250 for 16).

Imperial Sector is a total of 14 sprues for $120 from all of the same kits except for Shrine of the Aquilla (and Honored Imperium). The Shrine is $41 and you could add 3 of those and be under $250 (the price of Relicos). I think Shrine gives you 3 sprues each kit. So for 23 sprues for $240 = $10.40 per sprue.

Or, buy them separately. Basilica is a 3 sprue kit for $33 = $11 / sprue.

*cries*. I had really wanted a cheap way to access Shrine of the Aquilla, especially now that it's gone to web.

By the way, the 5 kits should be:

- Basilica Administratum
- Sanctum Imperialis
- Malefactorum
- Shrine of the Aquilla
- Honored Imperium

The Honored Imperium is the kit with the statue and ground aquilla and the piece of rubble; but it's really not a part of the building. It looks like they don't give you the statue sprue.

I don't see that many bits from Malefactorum and Sanctum Imperialis. I think if you were building this from buying boxes yourself, the cheapest way would be basilica and shrines, and skip the rest. Maybe one malefactorum or sanctum, just for a few different wall tiles.

Incidentally, one of the annoying things about combining Shrine with the other kits is that the building is a little taller than the other kits at 3 sections tall. This is why in the photo, you'll notice that all the adjoining walls to the Shrine sections are broken pieces.

It's the double-eagle's art style. It can be considered reminiscent of a certain group that really messed up Europe during the 1940s.

Thanks for that. That kit's out the window now. Imperial Sector seems like the best way to get cheap buildings en masse at present.

Shrine of the Aquila is 4 sprues. You can look at the kit breakdown on GW's website.

One sprue is two intact wall sections, one sprue is the flooring/walkways, one sprue is the big huge eagle door, and the last sprue is the ruined wall sections with the eagle head and the front steps.

At the very least it gives you 4 of each of those Shrine of the Aquila sprues(which would be $165 for just the Shrines of the Aquila). I see no parts from the Manufactorum at all, but there's parts from the Basilica Administratum and Sanctum Imperialis--and of course the Honored Imperium's broken eagle and ruined masonry.

@Kanluwen - you are right: shrine is 4 sprues (I forgot you get the floor tiles). they don't give you all the shrine of Aquila sprues, though.

Looking at the picture, it appears that you get for sure 3 eagle pieces (3 sprues) and 4 noneagle pieces (2 sprues). The back wall isn't visible, unfortunately, so it
S hard to see.

You don't appear to get any of the broken pieces, but either way you only get 16 sprues.

Look again, because those parts are definitely there.

The "broken pieces" are what the Blood Angel Assault Squads are standing on.

You're right. But no matter how you cut it, 16 sprues is only worth about $170. And one of those sprues is Honored Imperium's aquilla, which most terrain junkies will have, and not want another of (it also does not contribute to a building).

If they gave us 4 full aquilla kits, 1 honored Imperium and 1each of at least two other kits, I'd be happy at 250 -- then it would be about 23 sprues.

Now, I guess, if you want that specific combination of 16 sprues, the deal is ok.

Considering the other part of the "box" is a specific mission and rules for that one structure?

Some people who don't have it, may want it.

Fair enough -- it's not that there's no value in the box. It just isn't as good value for sprues of imperial buildings as other ways of buying those sprues.

One day I'll remember that "Remnants of the Imperium" is not actually the name of a kit.

That new box boggles my mind, 200€ for 16 sprues instead of 207€ for 23 sprues if you buy them individually is hard to justify, additional mission/rules or not. But hey if some people really want it after being conscious of all of that then who am I to complain? In addition it's the only way to get shrines of the Aquila with a decent discount since they're now direct only which kind of slightly balances the price.

Still, what I really don't appreciate is that the box seems designed so that people don't actually realize the value of what they're buying. The way the AoS Fort content is so clearly presented in the WD compared to that one reinforces that feeling.
