Some of you may know us already, both us and some of our projects. But there should be a few words of introduction.

As Hexy we have been operating for a few months on the miniature market; Hexy-Shop is a place where you can find creations of many artists and producers from Poland - some well known, others a little less - all making great miniatures

But our STAR SCRAPPERS project is also our first step in creating miniatures business.

Plot of Star Scrappers universe is currently centered around the planetary system 4LL-CR4P, which discovered deposits are extremely valuable ... classic story that will evolve in surprising directions.
The overall feel is a crossover of space-opera, pirates and adventurous movies with a touch of cyberpunk…

We created six races:

Biosses (bio/organic-technology, high-tech weapons)
Weedlocks (live, intelligent plants)
Metanels (living machines - mix Wally’s with rusty Transformers)
Minegglers (ancient, crystal civilization)
Hy'Drans (underwater inhabitants)
Terrons (dogs of war - mercenaries, smugglers, warriors and war veterans - with little Jack Sparrow’s touch)

Interested? I hope so…

We are working on a card game (it should see the daylight next year), and the strategic board game - I will tell you about them another time.
This time I want to show you the figures that we create.

At the moment, there are several models - but in the coming weeks there will be lot more.
Below I throw some pictures - I hope you like it.

and some of new minis:

Shu'War, Hy'Drans Leader

Uhm.... saw the planet name. All Crap? That is not a good start.

Beautiful minis, but I think that name has to change.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Have to agree with Davor lovely models but the name is slightly too foul-mouthed for something to have on boxes in shops. It also seems like something a 12 year old would choose to try and be edgy.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Welcome to DakkaDakka.

You've got some great figures there!

When you make updates, please would you put the new items in the same thread, and change your thread title (for example; Biosses new pics on p.3)?

This helps keep the forum tidy and makes it easier for users to follow your news.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Surely you mean 4LL-5CR4P, which still isn't a very clever name, and looks a lot like leetspeak.

Renders look good.

Thank you for all the kind words!

Guys, I think that you treat this planetary system name too seriously
This reality has been created with a strong hint of humor (but, of course, has its darker corners).
Soon we will try to introduce you to a bigger parts of the Star Scrappers universe and then, I hope, everything will become clear.

When can we see a print, or even a cast? The robots have a ton of character and I'll definitely be watching this

It looks like Terron Mr. Brown is available and is 35mm from bottom of feet to the top of his head, according to their [ur=https://hexy-shop.com/]website[/url]. Metanel Oddgrabber robot, Bioss H.03 and Loeb are available in 70mm (bottom of feet to top of head). I believe they did say in their other thread that they are working on versions scaled closer to 28mm that were said to be available in 2016 sometime.

Ah, I see them here:

https://hexy-shop.com/product-category/sci-fi/star-scrappers/

But you're right, 54mm for the bots (70mm size) and just the human miniature smaller. Seeing these in 28mm scale would be awesome!

In a few days should have the first of our new miniatures (Gustlick and two Metanels) - I'll let you know when they are ready to sell.
Meanwhile, in order to refresh this theme I'll drop you these new sketches - on the basis of which we will create new miniatures for Terrons faction (space-pirate-humans from planet Terra)...

What do you think?

They look great, and the paint jobs are killer! Is the robot with the circular saw hands also going to be made smaller - or would it fit in with these even at its larger scale (almost like a "boss" robot)?
