That time again! What do we all want to be painting in next month's challenge?

Flying The Flag: Your entry should be carrying some form of flag, banner, standard, totem or other similarly symbolic item.

The Wanderer: Your model should be one that is solitary by nature; a grizzled veteran of a hundred adventures or an outcast shunned by its kin.

All The Toys: Your model should be using or carrying some form of unusual or unconventional equipment, anything from a climbing rope to a landmine!

Death From the Skies: Your model should be aerial. Jump pack, wings, jet engines or duct-taped to a rocket, if it flies, it's in!

I went for 'Flying the Flag'. Got plenty of banner bearers I could paint up!

Banners and icons is a good idea, so many things I could do... my 30k dark herald comes to mind....

I voted for Death from the Skies, but I've got something I could do for all the categories.
Flying the Flag: I've got a couple of Bloodletters with banners that need paint, also a Deathwing Command Squad (including banner) that could use paint.
The Wanderer: I wonder if I could do my LotR Tom Bombadil in this category...
All the Toys: My Tau Ethereal's Hover Drone would count as unusual equipment, I think. I've got other stuff that would count too.
Death from the Skies: I've got plenty of stuff that would count, but I'll probably paint up my Heldrake for my Khorne Daemonkin army.

If Death from the Skies wins, does anyone fancy painting up the Blood Angel from DW:O - that's what I plan to do and it might be fun to have a few of us attempt the same model.

Flying the Flag, well I just got my fallout hobbies order of custom made decals in for my Skaven army, so I can do my banners finally (nicely)

I could do that. I would probably also do the Raven Guard guy as well.

Actually I was planning on doing the two Deathwatch jump infantry for this; we've just started a Deathwatch RPG campaign and are using my (currently unpainted!) Overkill miniatures for it, so I need to get some painted!

Of course if I manage to get my hands on the new Barracuda, they may get supplanted!

I have the old Ciaphas Cain model holding a huge banner... That could be fun.

Though rather embarrassingly I don't have anything flying on my painting table for the Death from the Skies option.

i guess i finally have an excuse to paint my Tau Coldstar Battlesuit
too bad, because i had hoped that "Flying the Flag" would have won...
i really wanted to paint my alt. Ashlynn D'elyse with the awesome banner from PP...

i do have an idea for building the Coldstar to be leaping a wall, one hand down, the other pointing, and a cool Kunk Fu kick leg pose...
the new plastic Commander sprue is cut for much better articulation that the original Crisis Suits...

Indeed, Death from the Skies it is for next month! As Flying The Flag is already on it's second go, The Wanderer will be carried over to next month's poll.

Bit limited in options myself this month, we'll see how it goes but it's looking like it'll have to be some Stormcast Prosecutors.

Hmm... I have a Tzeench herald on a flaming chariot... I'm waiting for some miniatures from Raging Heroes that should have some flying stuff in it too, but I'm not yet sure when they come, and what will be in this first batch of minis from the TGG2 kickstarter...

So, can I enter the disk as a 'default' entry and switch to one of the girls if they come on time?

Yeah, no worries there, so long as you've got the right Proof pics you can change your entry at any time.

I have a decent amount of things that would fit, which makes deciding that much harder.

Looks like I'm out this month, then. Only have assault marines that fit the bill and I really don't feel like doing yet another marine entry.

Unless it could be stretched to "from above" as well as "from the skies", I'm out for this one.
I have plenty leaping, tall and jumping figures, but literally nothing with flight or jump packs - not a marine player or sci fi owner.

Though on the plus side it does give me practice time.

I didn't even know what an assault marine was before yesterday.

How did I totally miss this thread?!! It's being a bit nuts lately. Death from the skies.......I think the only flying thingy I have is that BA fella from DW:O.....might have a harlie jet bike around somewhere too. Maybe.

An owl could work?! Also I'm sure a suitably dynamic leaping model would fit the theme.

Hm, nothing appeals to me this month. I'll try and get back on next month.
