Between this and Assasin, I think I might go with Busters! First negative about assasin is probably 50€ postage even though I am in EU, other is, maps simply look too small, not really that impressed with that, and the fact that probably half tiles, even though tematic, are rooftops, but visually, eh, not really feeling it.

If we unlock every planned stretch goal that would push the core pledge weight to about 9-10kg, and based on the prices we were quoted on Solomon Kane our best estimate for shipping to Croatia would be $42, or about 36-37€.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Whilst it's common for campaigns to give a shipping estimate on the core box and note that it could be higher based on unlocked stretch goals, we prefer to avoid nasty surprises for people when the PM opens by doing it the other way and giving the estimate assuming all stretch goals get unlocked.

36-37€ is still better than 50€
Also, some people from my area are interested in it too, shipping few pledges together should be cheaper and offer some reductions in shipping costs I guess?

That 3D Doors 'expansion' is an easy miss, 'saving' $25.

The Project-X 'expansion' is a bit harder to pass up on, but still seems OK to skip, saving another $35.

Not of this earth seems to be the only 'must have' and at $60...

...you might as well go all in?

Good to see more heroes showing up in the stretches - this game needs more heroes!

And it DEFINITELY needs a Counts As Captain America stand-in hero too!

Gutting to find out the normal persons are primaris height 37mm, if they had been had been usable with the rest of my collection I’d be all in. :(

Might stay in for $35 to get the big mech mutant hybrid

The scale is 32mm. We did some early minis in 35mm but decided to reduce them down to 32mm. Which minis are 37mm?

The minis are great, and the components look solid. It is certainly very pretty.
But, once again this Mythic project looks to need a lot more development yet. They're still tweaking rules on the lives, which doesn't inspire confidence in me. The rules look all right, but when they're playing the game live, expecting to deliver within a year, I would expect the rules to be pretty finalized already. But, it doesn't appear to be so.

This is Mythic's third solo KS, and the third one I have lacked confidence in, rules-wise.
Their projects certainly are gorgeous. But, they haven't delivered anything yet, and this is KS #3 within 12 months.

I really hope they can keep themselves afloat. I've seen too many companies go down this path and sink themselves with overconfidence and biting off more than they can reasonably chew.

I want to pledge for this, but the rules in the state that they are (same as Solomon Kane and Joan of Arc), and no projects delivered gives me some serious pause.

But those minis......

I'm pretty sure they're deliberately going to KS with the rules mainly done but needing fine tuning as this means they can respond to backers suggestions (or demands) during the project

which in a way is good as if there's a fundamental issue or thing they thought was cool but the majority don't like it's going to be caught and ironed out

but as you say it does risk issues (although delays tend to be more due to issues with mini production rather than the paper side of things and those seem mainly sorted & ready for mould production)

I'm not a huge fan of the Norwegian viking hero.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very interested in vikings and Norse history, and I really enjoy a viking theme when appropriate and done right. Vikings are after all my ancestors.

What irks me, is this tendency to portray Scandinavians as vikings, no matter the setting or period. It's offensive when Scandinavians are only used in pseudo-historical or sci-fi settings in order to allow the designers to shoehorn in "barbarian" archetypes.

I mean, it's okay in fantasy settings where you want a large degree of contrast between various human nations, but a viking in the 1940s makes no sense, and represents a much larger divergent from the norm than any of the other predominantly eccentric characters.

This game... just gets better and better! The sculpts are just amazing and some of the best stuff mythic has shown yet (I have conan, mbp, and a batman pledge too). I know their games have always been quality, but this just looks amazing.

Loving the Scandinavian guy, polish spy, mehcanic, and us sergeant! I might get two copies of this so I can paint more! This stuff looks better than dust 1947 (and I own a ton of premium dust stuff).

Sooo happy so far! I hope we get a few more heroes, and maybe some more marines or airborne characters

Conan and Batman are Monolith, not Mythic. And only the first Mythic Battles: Pantheon involved Mythic Games (before Monolith grabbed the rights to it). Mythic games really haven't finished any games on their own yet, I don't believe.

This is a first time I've ever seen a Viking Rights Activist...

Anyway, now we have a better look at the expansion "Not of this Earth"

Big picture, so I put it in spoiler tags...

Yep, we didn't do Conan or Batman. They are entirely from our friends at Monolith. For Mythic Battles: Pantheon, we did the game and partnered with Monolith for production.

The Germans get a Super-Soldier but the good guys do not?!?!?

Argh!

Next stretch goal is a 'new hero' though - so fingers crossed.

I'll be jumping in if we do get a Super Soldier for the good guys!

(And I'll probably be jumping in anyway!)

The german supersoldiers are all Vril-powered.

The allies don't have Vril, so I don't think they will get a Super Soldier of their own.

There is one allied POW (O'reilly) that has been experimented upon and is Vril-powered, but I don't think he's the "Aptain Camerica" you are waiting for... We haven't got any info on him yet.

35 hours left to go.

Allies got a Gurkha to join the team

Germans added sniffers to their ranks (unarmed soldiers with Vril-powered detection equipment). Those guard dogs just lost their jobs...

This project is why I've waited to get into the Weird War 2 genre of games. I've been waiting for this very one !!

Are there any decent books in a weird war setting? Dust background blurbs were always interesting and the setting is perfect for some light-hearted adventuring or morbid horror stories.

I really dig the latest hero with her gas grenades, but more enemies are always better.

I wonder if they'll do some crazy giant home stretch thing to fight, or we'll just end up with a boring (but sorely needed) stretch goal box to hold all this stuff.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!
