So I have a squad of Tankbustas with a Nob leading them. The Nob has been modelled wielding a Poker Klaw and a single Rokkit Pistol. I have noticed there is an entry for paired Rokkit Pistols (which get one shot each) but not for a single Rokkit Pistol.
Should I treat this as a regular Slugga or (paying full price) treat it as a Rokkit Pistol (getting only the one shot, instead of two that a pair would get)?

This unit is, basically, just all of the Boyz with Rokkit Launchas, from several of the Boyz sprues, with the Nob from the same kit, but with a kitbashed pair of Rokkits, from the MegaNobz kit, on the chopped-down body of the regular Slugga.

Thank you.

WYSIWYG isn't a rule, so you treat it a pair of Rokkit pistols or a Rokkit Launcher. You cannot treat it as a single rokkit pistol because there is no option to do so. As long as you pick a legal option on your army list, go nuts.

Hrm... Parharps I could strap a Rokkit to the side of the Power Klaw, to generate rights to a claim of the Pistol being "paired"?

I think I am stressing out about this far too much.

Or just glue one to the base to stop anyone screeching about WYSIWYG. He dropped it while screaming WAAAAAAAAAAGH!

Oh, yeah, I do NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, intend to play in a competitive manner/venue/setting/etc.

I guess this is sort of in line about worrying about what size base my minis are on, I guess? Bases were 25mm when I started collecting but now 32mm is the new standard for Orkk Boyz? As if they do not, already, take up enough real-estate on the gaming table, amirite? [grumbls more]

So I am worrying about too much, then? Just relax a bit and be reasonable about stuff? It should be fine, so long as I avoid tournaments and such?

I actually find that non-competitive players are the ones more likely to whine about WYSIWYG, but that's just my personal experience.

I suggest just gluing a discarded pistol to the base as that covers all bases.

It would have to be a pretty big pistol if it covers all bases.

Ba dum tss!

The kitbashed pistol has a pair of Rokkits on it. I still have another spare Rokkit I could glue to it, too. Think that may suffice?

The Boss Nob can't be armed with a pair of rokkit pistols (only a Tankbusta can) - he can only have a rokkit launcher, or if you use Index wargear options he can trade his rokkit launcher for a big choppa or a power klaw. Unfortunately he can't have both a power klaw and a rokkit launcher. Personally I would treat your Boss Nob as though he is armed with a rokkit launcher and treat the power klaw as purely ornamental.

How did I miss that? You're right, the Tankbusta nob has zero wargear options. Even if you use the index it's only for a Big Choppa or Power Klaw which replaces the Rokkit Launcher.

So yeah, your Nob can't actually have a pistol of any sort. But don't fret, WYSIWYG is not a rule so it's fine to have it modelled as such. Just remember to give your Nob either a Power Klaw or a Rokkit Launcher on the roster (and if you want highlight it to the opponent so they don't think it has both despite your army roster being clear).

Welp! Time to saw off an Ork arm!

Fudgenuggets.... No options, eh? Time to buy a box of proper Tankbustas, I guess? This is a kick in the junk. I made the mistake of only buying one box of MegaNobz and making a Mek, the other day, too.

Sadly the days of being able to make "your dudes" are long gone.

I am just a little ticked off, now. I really liked the look of that Nob, too.

Not sure what to do with him. He looks cool, but the arm is useless, as no Nob can wield a pair of Rokkit Pistols. (Unless he counts as a Tankbusta, at which point I could, but he isn't)
Have a pair of MegaNobz that I can not do anything with (I have memories of "retinues") without spending another $90 on (I bought these with money I had saved up for my birthday)

Grumble mumble piss and moan.

Yeah, I am (not literally) going to dissolve the Tankbustas unit, as I have no appropriate Nob for them. I can replace the Rokkit Pistol arm with an arm I took off a Nob from another set and add that Nob to the squad of Nobz, easily enough. If/when I save up enough for a Tankbustas set, I will have 4 extra Tankbustas for it. Or could swap out the Big Shootas I have in my Boyz units.

You can use him as a Tankbuster Nob with Power Klaw (via the Index Options). Alternatively, just use him as a cool looking Tankbusta Nob with Rokkit Launcher.

I really wish they had not over-looked the Nob's wargear, for this entry. The leader of the explosives-fanatics can not use more than the most basic form of weaponry, while the mooks get all the flashy gubbins? Wot is dis, even?

[Continues ranting]

Y'know what? Fudge it! I am not intending on playing in any events, so why worry? I will just point out my intentions of treating the Nob as though it were a Tankbusta and giving it access to equivalent gear. If anyone takes issue, then it is a Nob with Slugga and Power Klaw!

Waauuuugh!

They didn't overlook anything. For the most part, unit options are dictated by what the kit in question can build.
