As always some really cool additions. I love the moto of your force, very fitting.
The SAM-carriages look pretty cool. Reminds me a bit of the Hawk (?) AA missiles the US used. And in general something the IG is somehow missing. But most likely because flyers are less oppressive on the tabletop than in real life.
The heavier field guns look also really good. And I think it was the right decision to give them two part ammo. Looks better with the loading crew.
The watercooled machine guns are also a nice touch. They give the Carnodon/saur an even more antiquated look

Some more additions
Firstly My vampires. I mean BI M21 Mk 2 Bazas.
Spoiler:
Yeah the flight stands are both magnetic and telescopic. Which I am inordinately happy with.

My Vampire's fluff.

The KLAFI 0138 BI M21 Mk2 Baza

Lighter and many time s more expensive than its more common counterpart the Lightning Interceptor, the Mk2 Baza single engine interceptor has more powerful turbo-jet, and much less armour and thus is extremely agile. The Baza is equipped for dog fighting other craft where it makes use of it's agility and speed to overcome it's foe, the immense power of the turbo jet boosted with plasmic coil capacitors gives the aircraft the much needed boost in speed enabling it to carry out hit and run attacks or a fast boost to get out of trouble. Upgraded inertial dampening systems by Bruenell were required after the addition of this capacitor to avoid fatalities among pilots. Although it is comparatively lightly armed in terms of gun amarment, only being armed with a pair of 37mm auto cannons and four 15mm machineguns(or multi-lasers) the Baza is extremely versatile and is capable of carrying a vast array of ordinance under it's wings. The Baza was desined by Bruenell Industries on Klomn, and it's designs have been made available to many forgeworlds in Segmentum Tempest.

Designation: Klomn Air Frame Interceptor 0138 Bruenell Industries Model 21 Mk2 "Baza"

Armarment:

Nose
2x 37mm automatic cannons
4x 15mm machineguns or 4x multi-lasers with similar performance

15 Karsk Assault grenadiers, I am currently lacking the parts to fill the platoon out properly, the unit consists of 40 men divided into 3 close combat clearing teams, 2 support teams, 2 bunker busting teams and a command team. have essentially done the bulk of the specialists here.
Spoiler:

So the command team features the Officer (powerfist, gorget, and hot shot las pistol) and his second an experienced NCO (powersword, plasma pistol and bundle charge) Vox operator, medic and a guy with a horn.

The Bunker busting teams have 2x heavy flamers and 2x melta guns, i have another heavy flamer already and will need some rifles to round out the numbers. So this is some of those weapons, this squad is somewhat a WIP.

Two blokes with anti material rifles, they are part of the two support teams, and will provide the most prescise longer range fire in the unit, but are very much still meant to be in the thick of it. The support team will also feature pair of heavy bolter teams and an additional rifleman.

So two different troop types for the clearing teams, clearing enemy positions is done with a guy with a ballistic shield and pistol and chain weapon in the lead, he will lead the team into dugouts or around bends in trenches immediately prior to the use of grenades by the other team members, the light machinegunner, armed with a heavy calibre stubber will provide overwhelming firepower in close range whilst the remaining two riflemen in the team can either add the firepower of their hotshot lasguns, enter combat with bayonets or aid by throwing additional grenades.

Sir Alison
Bastard born of a great and wealthy house on Klomn, Sir Alison has proven her place with grit, determination and excellent combat skills both inside an armiger class fighting harness, or dismounted, often acting as a bodyguard to her house's Matriarch, Lady Alisha de Kanin. She pilots the armiger 'Lupus'.
Spoiler:
Figure is from Hero forge, I decided to trial them out and see how the figures looked and am really quite happy and it was really cool to make, recieve and paint. I wanted to give her the look of someone who is obviously bodyguarding for someone important, in a 'professional man at arms in the proximity of a warzone' way, she has a presentable coat and decorative cape, but you know, also carapace armour, a power sword and an assault rifle. Also a radical departure from my usual fair of camo and drab uniforms!

These look really nice. The Bazas fit in nicely with your armies aestetics. And the telescopic stands are a cool idea, I might try this out too. Did you use a radio antenna for that?
Regarding their fluff: 2 Autocannons + 4 heavy stubbers or multilasers sound quite frightening on such a nimble and fast airframe. I had to read up a bit about the Vampire. Interesting fighter jet, that's for sure.

Regarding your Karsk Grenadiers: You told me about them before, but the final result is even better then I would have imagined. They look incredibly well kitbashed/build. Especially with the visors on the bunker busting team. The hole equipment just pairs perfect with the intended purpose. Also the trench clearing team with the riot shield makes so much sense in the WH40k context. Really cool unit. Looking forward to see them finished as a whole.

The heroforge heroine also came out nicely. How does she compare in scale to the other minis?

Thanks Pyro, the flight stands I picked up off ebay, they are for DND etc. I didn't know it was really a thing, but I think it's pretty cool. So they have a big heavy base plate they screw into which makes them a bit more stable (hence both planes are on little hillocks).

For armament a lot of imperial fighters rely on a generally two las cannon and some auto cannon, so I wanted to go for a more rapid fire armament, so its not so dicey in a fight as las cannons ate usually depicted as pretty slow to recharge between shots, and if you miss those two shots its not ideal. Las cannon are avaliable, but in under wing gun pods for either hitting large targets or ground targets.

Thanks I had a lot of fun making the grenadiers. Might have got a bit carried away with the blood in some places... yeah I saw the visors in the Assault group's modern Russian range and had to have them for my grenadiers! They fit so perfectly.

She is slightly shorter than my Victoria miniatures female guardsmen. But that was fully intentional. As you can customise the size of them. I have another dismounted knight. The scaling is right on 28mm for warfaming/DND and next to my other minis they don't at all look out of place. They are a tad slimmer, but they are not wearing general issue combat fatigues, they are wearing tailored clothes.

PS I'm so rude I didn't even reply to the last comment.
Yeah I was inspired by the Hawk SAM for those SAM units.

Okay a bit of an update.
Firstly it's getting Knighty in here.
Spoiler:

So firstly the Armiger class mechanised harness 'Garris' (I had a nameplate from deadly print studios to put on it, but I have misplaced it.) of house Grae and the pilot of the machine. House Grae holds titles for several knight class machines and a plethora of armiger class machines, Garris is piloted by the inheriting scion of the house and this is his first taste of combat. He'd likely be fighting alongside an uncle or aunt who would be operating one of the family's larger machines. I might modify the heraldry on Garris slightly to signify he is an heir. The teenager also has a really big powersword. He's also a pretty big lad.

Pilot of the Armiger class mechanised harness 'Roche' this is Sir Haerin Vasterol. A lower knight, from a more insignificant but old family, he holds the title to a sole armiger fighting harness, so he is accompanying an ally upon this campaign (as he personally lacks the capacity to transport himself and his machine offworld), some incentive for joining a campaign like this is to earn the title of an additonal mechanised harness for his house. As he does not currently hold the title for a larger class of knight and has a respectable income he actually has a reasonably well equipped retinue. He has a robotic arm, courtesy of a few years working in an inquisitor's retinue prior to his father's death and his inhereiting the title to 'Roche'.

Klomn knights that do not yet hold titles to war machines, or whose families have the disgrace of losing titles to the machines must fight dismounted. As they are not commoners and still have acsess to the income of productive estates, enterprises or industry and therefore fight not in mechanised harness, but powered harness. Dismounted knights accompany the more major knightly houses into battle as their allies or vassals often alongside the house's own power armoured men at arms.

121st Ardus Armoured got some trucks.
Spoiler:

This is really a cheap diecast and plastic toy i was pretty impressed with. Just a pretty standard 2 ton 6 wheeler cargo truck. Just the logistical backbone of the guard. Nothing flashy to talk about.

Assassins
Spoiler:

So a pair of vidicares and a Callidus Assassin and Culexus Assassin. the Callidus. The Callidus has their hand behind their back and are holding a poisoned blade. Red stripe is the Culexus. This team is specialised for operating much, much closer to the battle lines, as a result they have traded their black spandex out for powered armour and ghille suits of sophisticated manufacture. Capitalizing fully on the extra strength provided by the power armour the vidicares are packing even bigger and more powerful rifles.

Calathian Rangers.
Spoiler:
]
The Calathian Rangers are a specialised light infantry unit. Well equipted for long range patrolling and operating in mountainous areas for extended periods, they carry a small solar panel on their haversacks from which vox and lasgun batteries, can be charged, in longer range operations firepower can only be provided through the use of hotshot lasguns and personal carried AT weapons. Alternatively the unit often operates heavy bolters or grenade machineguns to deal with enemy light infantry. The greatest long range punch is the unit's plasma long rifles(yes I did rip that off XCOM), which are effective anti material weapons. The unit also operates 3 inch mortars which can be used for indirect fire, laying smoke, or marking targets for supporting elelments.

Some fine additions again. Step by step:

A very cool knight you got there. I like the round studs (is this the word? I mean the thingis on its right shoulder). Reminds me of some of the older Space Marine models. And it is nice to see Sir Haerin getting a model. I remember him from one of your cool stories.
The dismounted knight also looks nice. A funny combination of medieval helmat and modern laser-lance-thingy.

The truck is fitting and you again did a great job with the mudwork. I like it. I'm currently thinking about get a truck or two in the future myself, but I will look for a less rounded, more blocky engine hood.

Assassins: an interesting take. Beside your explanation of them working near the frontline I could see them blending in much better with the average soldier. I mean in the sense of some 1000 Guardsmen on a battlefield and 2 Assassins moving somewhere in between where they look a lot less suspicious.

@ Rangers: nice idea with the solar panels. I love it when someone puts some extra thought in their units equipment. Also the barrets look very good. These ones are my favorites out of the models you presented this time.

Nice work as usual. Keep 'em coming Oldmate!

Cheers Pyroalchi
I saw the studs, and I thought I might use them, you see all kinds of things like golden orbs and such for heraldry and having it be a 3d feature is always good, especially so as I painted all the metallics with GSW chrome metallic so they are super shiny. It really pops on the studs because they catch the light so brightly on different angles.
I've had a bit of fun on hero forge, and It's fun to paint something that is not drab and camoflagued every now and then, same goes for the dismounted guy. I think it's the plumes, makes him look that much more medieval.

I took a while to get to the assassins, I made them, back when I did that camouflage cloth/fur tutorial! They are intended to be more suited for running alongside guardsmen, like wolves in sheep's clothing, they also have their camoflague so they can infiltrate in their own way. They are more brute force, than sheer sophistication but still a high investment in tech, and training.

I took a while to finally paint up the rangers, I got them a few years ago, I am quite satisfied to have cleared that part of the backlog and am satisfied with the results! The idea for solar panels was only a new one, so I like to think that I was waiting till I was ready, and totally not procrastinating too much!

Okay, so a bit of an update, I'm talking about things I haven't really put up here but I have had for a while now:
Unintentionally the theme seems to be: The armour of the Klomn 76th Armoured Division! - The cauter scheme desert boys.

7/29th Armoured/Cavalry Regiment
Spoiler:
A pair of cavalry dismounts armed with anti tank rifles. The Klomn military makes use of anti tank rifles for their ability to tackle armoured and particularly strong targets such as ork nobbs(with a well placed shot or two), the weapons are also used as an anti material rifle. They are semi automatic, and relatively portable, being much lighter and less cumbersome than an intermediate sized tripod mounted auto cannon or heavier carriage mounted auto cannon. The weapons can easily be fired from open topped vehicles without the need for heavy duty mountings, the lack of back blast is also quite appreciated when being used in open topped transports. In Klomn service anti tank rifles are fielded alongside the ubiquitous mass manufactured, single and multiple use anti tank rocket launchers in Klomn infantry formations, as well as being mounted on light vehicles to add some punch, but not the additional weight and bulk of an actual auto-cannon.

Cavalry scout car, is armed with a heavy stubber in enclosed turret with vision blocks and perescope and the vehicle is also armed with an anti tank rifle. This 4x4 scout car is the platoon command vehicle for a platoon of mounted riflemen.

Alongside it's more heavily armoured main battle tanks the 7/29th Armoured/Cavalry regiment is equipped with older Carnodon Mk1, and newer A5S7 Carnosaur Cruiser tanks. Designated as cruisers under Klomn doctrine these tanks are more lightly armoured, and sport a hybrid promethium and thermo plasma generator system which allows them both greater endurance, much greater acceleration and speed. Although the massive energy output of the engine would greatly boost the firepower of Carnodons and Carnosaurs armed with energy weapons this require keeping the vehicle stationary. A strategy not best employed by relatively lightly armoured tanks, so a loadout of machineguns and cannons is employed on these vehicles in Klomn Armoured formations. Although more specialist units do make use of such vehicles.

I couldn't resist making an anit tank rifle for my scout can and then had to make some for my infantry, I think they're an interesting weapon, I really like the carnosaur models from tiny pazner studios, they're really neat

Tanks of the 12 Armoured Engineering Battalion:
Spoiler:
An armoured engineering vehicle based on the A22 Mk 12 heavy tank, this vehicle is designed to both construct and deconstruct defences, sometimes under fire. It carries a large fascine to fill in anti tank ditches, and has a winch, crane, excavator arm, and shovel. The second tank is more or less a regular A22 Mk 12 heavy tank equiped with a turret from Durannan Dynamics and is armed with support weapons to help crack open enemy fortifications.

A modification of the old A22 Mk 12 heavy tank, as used extensively by the armoured engineering battalions and regiments of Klomn. The vehicle is fabled for it's terrain crossing ability and it's ability to take hits it is a natural candidate to be chosen as a flamethrower or chem thrower tank to be used whilst assaulting entrenched positions. This tank features applique armour to the sides, further making it harder to kill. Locating the inferno/chem cannon in the vehicle's hull means that it's turret can be armed as a regular battle tank, so it can either defend itself against enemy tanks, or add fire to enemy positions as it approaches to use it's inferno/chem cannon.

Firebugs:
Alternative turrets for my Carnodon tanks.

The aptly named Firebug is a variant of the A5S7 Carnosaur tank, it replaces the standard turret and gun with a lower turret mounting a large flame cannon, the sponsons are also usually mounted with flamers. This vehicle's purpose is to dash in and burn the ever living hell out of things and dash out. The hybrid plasma generator-engine provides large amounts of acceleration and speed, allowing the vehicle to sprint onto targets. In Klomn service it is the closest analogue to more common hellhound.

Okay so churchills, how can I not have churchills. One of my most favorite tanks ever. I gave them sloped frontal armour from Blood and skulls industry and I thought the Grim prints turret looked a bit off. So naturally I reached for a matilda boss turret from Victoria miniatures (churchill mk1/2) and one from Nefyma(I really dig his gothic crossed British engineering look). And naturally I had to make a crocodile, as it's literally the only flame tank ever that has ever actually made sense.
Literally no other flame tank had this combination of factors going for it: A jettisonable trailer filled with the combustibles(driver presses button, it's no longer your problem), flamethrower in the hull so the turret can still shoot what needs a shooting, and like 152mm of frontal armour (even if it's a vertical plate!).
I saw those flame cannon turrets and decided I wanted them for some project in the future, and they fit so well with the carnodons.

11th Anti-Tank Regiment
Spoiler:
This light tank is the command vehicle for a battery of self propelled anti tank guns. It's armed with a low velocity cannon, so it's capable of firing both high explosive and smoke rounds in support of the rest of the battery. As well as a heavy stubber to provide some anti infantry firepower. The rest of the battery is armed with high powered lasers.

Bit of an update for the 132nd Commonwealth Combined rifles!
Firstly I have finished their 2nd rifle platoon.
Secondly some new units!
Vanquisher carriage
Whilst most light anti tank units in the Commonwealth are equipted with lascannons for their comparative light weight to hitting power, heavy carriage mounted anti tank guns are almost exclusively large calibre ballistic weapons. The advantage of these weapons is that they can fire a large variety of ammunition to deal with different threats. Whilst tank killing armour piercing fin-stablised discarding sabots are commonly used with this gun to deal with enemy armour, or monsterous creatures, the gun can also fire a fin-stablised discarding sabot beast killer round, which is a round carrying a payload of toxins designed to bring a quick kill against organic threats such as monsterous creatures, the round is particularly effect in that firing multiple rounds at a very large beast will often lead to a critical level of toxin build-up and a kill. Alternatively the gun can fire high exsplosive fragmentation or cannister rounds to deal with emplaced positions, and enemy infantry equivelents. This Anti tank gun is manufactured by of Victis Armaments on Klomn.

I looked at the field ordinance battery's heavy laser cannon, and decided I wanted something similar but more... ballistic...
It's a vanquisher cannon in a field carriage, rather than a tank! Lore wise it's the heaviest towed AT gun that is commonly in service with the Commonwealth combined line divisions. Saying that the gun is multi purpose firing a large varitey of ammos, I even magnetised some for this beast. On the base is 2x High explosive fragmentation shells, which are a good cover all basses choice, along with the old choices vanquishers got when they came out option of AP tank killer rounds(APFDS in this case) and beast killer (APFDS, with nasty poison for when you want to melt a biotitan from the inside out...). It's a heavy and cumbersome weapon that is relatively hard to conceal(much easier to conceal than a battle tank or tank hunter!), but it's hitting power justifies this when it is sited well and it can provide a good backline AT hitting power to the infantry.
Spoiler:

Some light AT Weapons
Whilst lascannons are the bread and butter of the anti tank company of the Commonwealth Combined infantry units there is also often a platoon or two of more heavy hitting anti tank weapons, such as rapier destroyer carriages and twin-linked las cannons.
These weapons are a bit more clumsier than the regular lascannon, but the mounting does allow for considerably more staying power.
Twinlinked las cannon carriage
Spoiler:
The old, if one laser tube isn't good enough slap another one on.

Rapier laser destroyers
Spoiler:

So my take on the rapier laser destroyer, I have put them on the same field carriage as many of my light weight weapons. I see a tracked little vehicle as entirely unnecessary and I think these fit right into the rest of my army nicely. So one team is camoflaging their position, one gunner cutting branches with a machete the other throwing camo netting over the weapon, the other gun seems to have been put into action before completely camoflagued.

Quadbikes
Designated as the Mule U03 in Commonwealth service the humble 'wolfquad' is used exstensively by the militaries of the Commonwealth, the main roles include, light transport/all terrain logistics especially when equipped with a trailer, airbourne logistics vehicle and a designated tow vehicle for light carriage mounted heavy weapons, and mortars. They are sometimes used as tansport for specialist troops and special forces. But rare is the level of desperation to use the vehicle as a frontline gun carrier.
Spoiler:
Nothing too amazing here. I imagine these quad bikes to be very heavily employed, and used for towing light field carriages. They would be used exstensively by AT and support companies, where they would be towing lascannons, auto cannons, and light MLRS. Maybe I should make some little trailers?

Engineers!
The AC023 universal carrier is an open topped utility vehicle of Ardus and Klomn manufacture. The vehicle is usually armed with a medium machinegun, although it is also commonly armed with a range of specialist and heavy weapons. The carrier can carry 5 passengers(6 including the vehicle commander) is used for reconnaissance, carrying scout teams, carrying weapons specialists, grenadiers or other specialists, as a heavy weapons carrier or towing vehicle. Saying that the rugged and dependable AC023 is favored among engineer teams, as it can cross terrain at speed, and offers a surprisingly good degree of protection to the passengers. There is also space on the rear of the vehicle for engineering supplies and equipment. I wanted to kit the engineers out in a way to demonstrate their main roles the best: erecting and pulling down obstacles. So two engineers are advancing with Bangalore torpedoes to blow holes through barbbed wire entanglements, another who is hurling a smoke grenade (to provide cover for the wire blasting attempt) whilst holding wire cutters. Another two engineers are carrying anti tank mines, either away from an enemy minefield, or towards their own minefield(these two figures can be paired with 2 of my earlier engineers that are equipped with mine detectors) and the last is holding a detonator detonating something.
Spoiler:
So a unit of 6 combat engineers and their transport, the two machinegunners would be dismounting to do their jobs whilst the driver stays with the vehicle, so she does not get a dismount model, the other 2 do.

Some of the photos are pretty bad, I'll put better ones up at some point, and some of the models look a bit glossy. I am waiting for more favorable weather conditions to give them a matt cote.

Bit late this time, but I wanted to say you did some pretty cool work there again.
I really like the look of that towed Vanquisher. The concept of towed artillery makes a lot of sense for Guard I think, especially with them often figthing defensively and more or less static battles in the lore. And that gun you build looks massive, as it should when facing down Carnifexes and the like.

The camo nets on the Rapiers are also pretty cool. Guess I'll have to revisit your thread about camonetting again (I think you had one, hadn't you?)

And the engineers are of course also very cool. Gotta love that universal carrier. A shame the Forgeworld Centaur is out of production.

Cheers. AT guns are also great for consolidation in mobile warfare; the tanks and troops take an area, you bring up the AT boys and fill that place with guns, so if the enemy want it back they are facing down the muzzles of a whole lotta cannon. And your tanks are ready to take the next place, or go into reserve. Which I think really suits the guard. Slower, methodical, and not something you want to try to take head on.

The advantage of cannons over the field ordinance heavy las cannons, is you can fire canister and explosives to kill lighter units, like infantry, and the advantage over field howitzers is you can punch holes straight through a battle tank.

The camo nets done here are a different style, these are a cut up washing bag which I sprayed with a rattle can and put a bit of paint on. The tutorial I made in the past was using putty.

Okay so some force organisational charts I have been mucking around with. I have decided not to include logistics, as whilst I have mapped them out, I kinda wanted the images to be distinguishable when uploaded.

So we have 132nd Commonwealth Combined Rifles battalion. Each Regiment consists of two rifle battalions along with a support battlion to make up the fighting strength.
Spoiler:

This is the Ideal level of equipment and is not always seen in the field. The 132nd CCR is designed to be a fast road mobile mechanised force, so the core of it's equpment is trucks, cars, armoured scout cars, wheeled APCs and wheeled IFVs. So from the top.
HQ
Attached provosts and inteligence sections. Aside from the armoured command vehicle based on the Kapros IFV hull, the other vehicles are all unarmoured.

Rifle Company The main fighting body of the unit.
Lead by a command section in an armoured car(command).
Support Platoon consists of 3x Missile launchers and 3x 82mm (medium) Mortars mounted in armoured cars(transport) and 4x heavy bolters assigned to quad bikes. The missile launchers can be fired from the scout cars if required but generally the vehicle is meant to be used as a transport to carry the weapon into position. The mortar cannot be fired from the vehicle and must be set up. But much like with the missile launcher the car provides good off-road performance, and protection for battlefield mobility along with decent storage capacity for ammunition. The heavy bolters are the most likely weapon to be attached directly to rifle sections during an attack, so armored protection is less vital(they will be mounted in the Kapros IFVs of an infantry company), and a small fast vehicle that can speed off to collect more ammunition is seen as an advantage when the gun is defensively emplaced.

4x Rifle Platoons
Each with 2x Medium machineguns (heavy stubbers) and 2x 50mm mortars (grenade launcher). As the Commonwealth more commonly fights human forces they find that more machineguns are good machineguns. They have also proven effective enough against various xenos species, each platoon has 2x reasonably manourable heavy stubbers. The benefits of adding heavy bolters to rifle sections, when those troops are already directly supported by and are fighting from the back of heavily armed Kapros IFVs is seen as not worth the expense in mobility of the cumbersome weapons. The 50mm Mortar is somewhere between the more common grenade launcher and mortar seen in imperial service. It can be used for direct fire and can fire smoke, krak, frag, and incendiary bombs, it has a larger bomb and more range than the more common grenade launcher but cannot be fired standing up, and it has markedly less range than the more common medium class mortars, and a much smaller bomb. It can however be fired from the roof of an armoured fighting vehicle.

Each section, along with a vox operator, NCO and 6x riflemen is equipped with a light machinegun and a marksman rifle. These of course add weight of fire and prescsion fire to the core fighting block of the regiment, the rifle section.

Support Company
All the additional support units organic to the battalion to allow the rifle sections to do their job.

Recon Platoon
Command section in an armoured car (Command)
Heavy weapons section with 2x medium machineguns(heavy stubbers) and 2x 50mm mortars.
Each section has a sniper team along with the light machinegun and marksman. Scout sections are only 6 men and are mounted in 'Piglet' 4x4 APCs(cut down Kapros).

Plasma Platoon
The platoon where plasma weapon specialists are drawn from, they are usually parcelled out to rifle sections where required. Although they can also be concerntrated into smaller higher firepower units when the situation requires.
Command section
3x 8 man teams all equippted with plasma rifles. The most common pattern is a reduced capacity plasma weapon from victis armaments, it boasts the lowest risk of overheating whilst still packing a considerable punch. Section has 4x trucks and 3x 'Piglet' APCs for transport.

Anti tank platoon
The anti tank punch of the battalion. 8x carriage mounted las cannons towed by wolfquads. The bikes can get the anti tank weapons into most positions quickly which is extrememly important incase the unit needs to quickly consolidate it's position in the face of an armoured counter attack. The small size of the bike means it can be concealed nearby in case the las cannon needs to be swiftly relocated, the weapon only needs 2 men to crew it, and the battery pack is attached to the weapon and takes up no room on the bike allowing for much more space for the passenger.
3x 4 tank hunter melta gunner teams. Often employed in pairs near the front lines and attached to infantry platoons rather than sections. It is the job of the melta gunners to destroy what the infantry disposable anti tank launchers, and platoon missile launchers fail to. The pattern employed is noted for packing less of a punch but not encumbering the user, allowing for rapid deployment. Tank hunters are provided soft skinned vehicles for mobility as whilst at the front lines they are expected to be intergrated into a rifle platoon or company.

Air defence Platoon
3 Sections armed with a short range man portable field radar and 3x Skysrtike surface to air missiles. The section is mobilised in soft skin vehicles and quad bikes the later allowing for rapid deployment.

Engieers Platoon
A platoon designed to break/fix things, remove/lay mines and overcome/build fortifications for the advance/retreat 4x field engineer teams mounted in both armoured cars (transport engineering) and 'Piglet' APCs 2x assault engineer teams with 2x flamers each mounted in 'Piglets'.

Mortar Platoon 9x Wheeled 120mm mortars (Heavy) to provide more indirect fire punch to the troops. Towed behind soft skinned vehicles, the platoon also has it's own ammunition truck to carry extra bombs.

The 82nd Klomn Curiassiers (and their sister regiments) with the layout of a Klomn Super heavy tank Brigade (I could not help myself okay?)
Spoiler:
Will do a structure breakdown then unit overview as the same vehicles are used at most levels.

Each brigade is made up of 3x regiments and a pair of reconnaissance squadrons in minute Skalland Light tank Mk VI Cs at Brigade HQ. Brigade HQ also has 4x A33 Kesteral Self Proppeled Anti Aircraft Guns, a Havael Pattern Baneblade as a command vehicle and two macharius vanquishers.

Each Regimental HQ consists of a pair of A33 Kestrels, a Squadron of Skalland Light tanks, a macharius vanquisher and a Havael Pattern baneblade.
Each squadron in the regiment consists of a command tank (usually the Havael pattern Baneblade) and a macharius vanquisher. Troops consist of 2x baneblades, Havael or Karsk Pattern and 3x Macharius vanquishers and are supported by a pair of A33 Kesterals.

The Skalland Mk VI light tank is a favored reconnaissance vehicle of Klomn tank units, it's tiny tracked platform allows it to get almost anywhere over any terrain whilst avoiding being seen, and the C model as used in the Klomn Super heavy tank regiments and brigades is armed comparatively heavily with a hunterkiller missile, autocannon and heavy stubber. Although the tiny tanks do look comical next to the super heavy tanks and are at a real risk of being run over, it has been found that both extremely heavy and extremely light armour pair well together. The light tanks can often scout enemy positions and strength without being detected, allowing the hammer to fall in the most critical location.

The A33 Kesteral is the quintessential Klomn heavy air defence platform, armed with 4x high velocity autocannons and 4x medium class surface to air missiles. It is slower than a hydra SPAAG, but more heavily armoured, as it is on the chassis of a battle tank.

The Macharius vanquisher is the work horse of the Klomn super heavy tank regiments, not counting a few older vehicles that may have been pressed into service... in Klomn service high velocity cannons are highly valued and that goes doubly so for a tank carrying two very large high velocity cannons. The Macharius vanquishers are often used to cover the flanks of the pair of baneblades in the troop.

The Havael Pattern Baneblade is the more common pattern of baneblade used in the Klomn Super Heavy tank regiments, it is the pattern of baneblade that is designated for use as command vehicles and it also makes up around half the baneblade tank troop strength in a super heavy tank regiment. The Havael Pattern baneblade is essentially a compromise, it is a tank used to make up numbers in tank troops, it is faster to manufacture, and somewhat lighter than it's counterpoint the more prestigous Karsk Pattern. The Havael Pattern mounts a colossal vanquisher cannon in place of it's main gun, allowing for commonality of ammunition with the Macharius vanquisher. It has a lightly modified welded turret.

The Karsk Pattern Baneblade is the most heavily armoured and armed tank in the Klomn arsenal. The tank features a massive cast turret, weighing more than an entire leman russ battle tank(I eyeballed it), and is armed with a massive high velocity cannon, which boasts greater armour penetration capability than the banesword's gun(but nowehere near the explosive payload). These vehicles are the core strength of the Klomn super heavy tank regiments and it is these 9 tanks in each regiment that everything else works around. Manufacture of the Karsk pattern is much slower than that of the macharius vanqisher, and the Havael pattern baneblade leading to the emphasis of using them in the fighting troops, rather than as command vehicles, as well as the adoption of the lighter models of tanks.

Boom! Leman Russ Commander

Very cool Oldmate! As usual one can really see the work and knowledge you put into your force. The infantry battalion looks really well organized. Just a professional, modern fighting force, effizient without falling into the "they are just the best of the best of the best and that is why they are the BEST" trap of homebrew lore that one finds too often and that I find just boring. One can really see the tradeoffs they took for their equipment and understand the decisions that led to them.

Regarding the superheavy battalion: damn that looks scary! As you know I fumbled with some force organization myself and seeing that I can well imagine what an impression such a Heavy Tank Battalion would make on the enemy or an allied infantry regiment.
And again: well thought through and interesting lore. I look forward for more

Cheers Pyro I am drawing quite heavily from modern and WW2 force organisation and find it kinda useful for working out what I might want to try modelling next. For instance a towed 120mm mortar for the 132nd CCR.

Yeah I know what you mean about homebrew regiments. II just like to make sure my units have everything they need to get the job done in a galaxy filled with perils!

Yeah you would not want a full heavy tank brigade breathing down your neck, or a single regiment or still yet a single squadron!

Okay some more charts
So
Support Battalion of the 132nd Commonwealth Combined Rifles, so the 132nd Commonwealth Combined Rifles consists of 2x regular Battalions and one Support Battalion. This chart includes crews rather than just dismounts.
Spoiler:

HQ
Attached provosts section. Aside from the armoured command vehicle based on the Kapros IFV hull, the other vehicles are all unarmoured.

Fire Support Company
HQ of the Fire support platoon is a pair of Kapros motor gun carriages.
Troop strength is 4x 5 vehicle platoons of Kapros motor gun carriages, and a single platoon of 5x Kapros guided missile vehicles.
The fire support platoon consists of 5 platoons of Kapros wheeled fire support vehicles, and is intended to provide medium armoured direct and indirect firepower to support the mechanised infantry. Regularly tanks would fulfill this role, but as the unit is designed to carry out long road marches at maximum haste, so a wheeled platform was required. The Kapros motor gun carriage mounts a remote controlled turret with an auto loader fed battle cannon and coaxle heavy stubber. Additional shells can be loaded into the auto loader by gates on the rear of them, which can be accessed from a hatch on the vehicle's rear deck. This hatch is above the reduced passenger compartment which is usually used to store extra ammunition, although it could also be used to carry up to 6 passengers with a reduced loading. The cannons can be used in direct and indirect fire, along with providing anti armour punch.
The Kapros guided missile vehicle provides direct fire anti armour capability to the unit. The vehicle is fitted with a manned single man turret armed with 12x wire guided missile tubes which are usually loaded with krak missiles but can be loaded with frag, and incendiary. The vehicle lacks any kind of anti infantry weapon, although it is regularly fitted with a pintle or rear mounted heavy stubber. The vehicle shares the same chassis as it's cannon armed counterpart and can the missile tubes can be loaded from the hatch in the rear deck of the vehicle. Again, the vehicle can carry 6 passengers with a lessened loading of munitions.

Suppression Companies(x2)
Each Support Company consists of a pair of supression companies. These are often divided between both rifle battalions. The purpose of this company is to provide the Regiment with heavy automatic direct and indriect fire. The company lacks any armoured vehicles as they are most likely to be operating in pre-prepared positions providing covering fire to assaults. Or in pre prepared positions providing firesupport in the defence.
HQ mounted in soft skin vehicles.
A supply section of 3x light trucks, because they are expecting to use a lot of ammunition and need to keep the guns fed.
4x suppression platoons, platoon command mounted in soft skinned vehicles, platoon command carries additional equipment for coordinating and calculating indirect fire.
2x platoons of 9x 40mm autocannons towed by quad bikes with assigned trailers.
2x platoons of 12x heavy bolters carried on quad bikes.

Two heavy platoons of carriage mounted 40mm Autocannons provide punch against light vehicles and robust xenos. The weapons are extremely heavy, and of a much larger calibre and velocity to patterns regularly used from a lighter carriage, tripod, bipod, or manhandled by certain individuals and must be mounted on a strong wheeled carriage, and must be towed, but the advantage is that the guns have much greater performance, and that despite their greater velocity HE rounds still have a considerably sized explosive payload. The gun can also fire airburst flak ammuntion. The weapons are towed behind quad bikes, allowing rapid deployment for consolidation, and the rapid supply of ammunition to firing positions. As the autocannons have quite large and bulky magazines each gun and bike is accompanied by a trailer to carry ammunition, acting as a miniature gun and limber in semblance to the light field guns of the artillery regiments.

Two larger platoons armed with heavy bolters provide the main base of both company's firepower. These are carried on quad bikes for rapid deployment to firing positions and resupply. Crews are equipted with tripod mounted heavy bolters. These weapons can be fired at a greater angle of elevation, and are intended to be used to rain fire down upon the enemy from greater distances, creating beaten zones, along with the more traditional direct fire role supporting assaults or defences.

Indirect Fire Company
A single indirect fire company to supplement the firepower of each rifle battalion, or bring heavily concentrated fire on the enemy during an assault or defence.
HQ and platoon command squads in soft skinned vehicles.

2x platoons of 9 light 8 tube 105mm MLRS towed by quad bikes with assigned trailers
2x platoons of 9 towed 120mm mortars towed by soft skinned vehicles with a suppl section of 2x light trucks

The pair of 105mm MLRS platoons provide the unit with a light all terrain artillery system which can lay down a substantial weight of fire in a small amount of time and are employed to make up for the lack of artillery power available if the regiment is to fulfill it's role as a rapidly moving mobile force. The MLRS also have the advantage in that they can be deployed, fire and be on the move before enemy counter battery fire has a chance to respond. As the rockets are quite large the quad bikes are assigned trailers to carry ammuntion, allowing the MLRS three vollies before being required to be resupplied. Regularly Frag rockets are loaded, although krak rockets can be used optimistically against concentrations of enemy armour and incendiary and thermobaric rockets can additionally be supplied, particularly for use in urban areas, or against swarming enemies.

Two platoons of 120mm Mortars provide reasonably heavy fire support to the infantry battalions. They are towed by soft skinned vehicles, that can carry a good supply of ammunition and each platoon has an additional light truck for resupply purposes.

Air Defence Company Additional air defence units to provide the regiment with close in air defence. These weapons are more substancial than the shoulder fired missiles of the air defence platoon in the support companies.
HQ and Command sections in soft skinned vehicles
2x platoons of 3x towed mid range radar systems 6x 3 Skyhawk light class surface to air missile carriages each.
2x platoons of 3x towed mid range radar systems 6x 40mm autocannon anti aircraft carriages each.

Each air defence battery is equipped with a tracking and targeting radar which is linked to the weapons by field cable, allowing each section to be dispersed to provide a maximum air defence umbrella, or to provide overlapping tracking and targeting fields where stealthy enemy flyers maybe a concern, or to provide redundancy should a battery be destroyed. Two companies are equipted with missiles and two with autocannons, these are often mixed in use as it is found that the weapons compliment eachother. Lower flying craft may more easily evade a missile, but autocannon rounds will be more lethal. The tracking and targeting radar system is mounted on a carriage and towed behind a quad bike, much like the weapon systems in the air defence batteries the bike is assigned a trailer to carry addition ammunition or missiles for the platoon.

The Skyhawk is an effective missile system for countering low to mid level enemy aircraft. It does not fare well against very low flying craft and cannot generally reach high altitudes. It is used to provide a air defence umberlla over the regiment primarily to protect it against tactical threats such as enemy ground attack craft, the Skyhawk is mounted on a carriage which is towed by a quad bike with a trailer.

The autocannons employed are the same heavy carriage mounted 40mm guns used fore direct ground fire. The main difference is in the carriage, which has wheels that fold to lay flat against the ground and the higher profile of the carriage which allows the gun and operator's seat to be traversed to vertical. The carriage also features it's own light engine and powered traverse and elevation. These can be operated by the user, but more often are radar guided. Against lighter flyers, drop troops, jump troops and other such targets conventional targeting is required. The guns can fire both regular flak shells for peppering faster moving flyers and also AP solid shot, for use against larger slower threats. The weapons are towed by a quad bike which has a trailer assigned.

Will do the 7/29th Cav/Tank regiment tomorrow. For now... sleep.

Klomn 7/29th Cav/Tank Regiment. The 7/29th Cav/tank is as it's name suggests an irregular regiment, it consists of an entire tank regiment reinforced with cavalry elements including a pair of cavalry tank squadrons and cavalry vehicles attached to the tank squadrons as organic reconnaissance.
Spoiler:

The regiment predominantly uses A33 A-b14, A33 B-b3 and A31 battle tank armed with vanquisher cannons. We will call all of these models gun tanks here as both models of A33 and the A31 are used interchangeably.
Likewise the cavalry squadrons use a mixture of Carnodon mk1 and A5S7 Carnosaur cruiser tanks, which we will call cruiser tanks here as they too are used interchangeably.

Regimental HQStarting off with the main weapon system, the vanquisher cannon! In Klomn service the most common armament in armoured regiments is the vanquisher cannon, valued for it's ability to penetrate armour, and it's greater ability to hit moving targets because of the high velocity of APFDS ammunition. The gun is also valued for it's verstility, being capable of firing Armour Piercing Fins Stabalised Discarding Sabot, High Explosive Fragmentation, High Explosive Krak, a barrel launched Hunter Killer missile which greatly extends the combat range of the vehicle, and a cannister round. Additionally there is a an Armour Piercing Fin Stablised Discarding Sabot Beast Killer (a round designed to penetrate thick armour, and to deliver a payload of poison to deal with large biological threats) available in case the unit finds itself facing xenos monstrosities.
The standard gun tanks are expected to be able to face down most threats.

HQ consists of a command section of a command tank, a regular gun tank fitted with more radio equipment and an accompanying gun tank tank.

A support section with a pair of observation post A33 tanks, two Kesteral self propelled anti aircraft guns.

Regimental cavalry squadron consists of 2 troops of 3 Kangaroo Cavalry reconnaissance vehicles, with four cavalry scout dismounts each and 2 squadrons of 5 Skalland Mk VI B and C light tanks, which are run in troops consisting of 3 model Bs and 2 model Cs.

The pair of Regimental Observation Post tanks are assigned to tank Squadrons as required, and either an artillery or air observer from other units supporting the battle group are put in the vehicles. They are able to direct greater firepower to support the regiment. The HQ recon Squadron likewise is assigned where additional recon assets are required. Kangaroo Cavalry Recon vehicles were inherited from the 29th Mounted Rifles Regiment and provide well armoured carriers for infantry scouts which can travel slightly faster than the tank formations, whilst the two troops of Skalland light tanks can provide a wider ranging and more stealthy reconisance elelment. A pair of Kesteral Air defence vehicles provide reasonably good air defence for the Regimental HQ.

Tank Squadron
The regiment consists of 3x tank squadrons, this makes up the main combat power of the regiment and provides most the firepower required to allow tank troops to fulfill their tasks.
Squadron command consists of a command gun tank, and accompanying gun tank.
A support section of 2x Kesteral anti aircraft tanks, and 2x A33 B-b3 CS Close support tanks.
A reconnaissance troop of 3x Kangaroo Cavalry Reconnaissance vehicles each with 4 cavalry scout dismounts.

Tank Troops consist of 4 Troops of 3x gun tanks and 2x A33-S suppression tanks armed with quad 40mm autocannons in a ball turret with 2x Hunter Killer missiles for self defence against heavy enemy vehicles.

Each Tank Squadron is designed to essentially be a rather self contained armoured force which is by doctrine the smallest unit that is to be employed usually alongside troops from other units, the 12 gun tanks of the squadron are it's core strength and offensive power whilst the suppression tanks are intended to allow these tanks to focus on higher priority targets by providing heavy weight of firepower against enemy infantry, infantry in the upper stories of building in urban warfare, and swarming foes, as well as swarming, and slower flyers. What is more, in practice it has been found that against many lighter xenos vehicles the armament of quad 40mm autocannons has been found to be more than adequate against many mainline xenos vehicles and monsters.

The two A33B- b3 CS tanks in each squadron are assigned to tank troops, or move between them where required and provide a large lower velocity gun. This gun can be used to fire considerably large smoke shells, High explosive rounds, anit fortification rounds and eradicator ammunition for dealing with emplaced enemy infantry. The gun lacks the velocity and precision of the vanquisher, but it is usually firing at stationary targets, and can lob shells onto target at longer ranges.
A pair of Kesteral air defence tanks provide a good air defence umbrella to the unit, and can deal with fast moving aircraft.
The three Kangaroo CRVs provide each squadron with scout teams that can keep close ahead of the tanks. They are expected to carry out close in reconnaissance and therefore the heavily armoured cav vehicles are seen as more suitable than lighter vehicles.

Cavalry Tank squadron
The two cavalry tank squadrons are used for aggressive screening, pursuit and as a rapid reaction force. If the tank regiment is in reserve and is used to stem a breakthrough the cavalry tank squadrons will arrive first and attempt provide support till the tank troops proper arrive.

Squadron command consists of a command cruiser tank, and accompanying vehicle.
A recon troop of 2x Skalland Mk VI C and 3x Mk VIB light tanks
A pair of Carnodon Stalker self propelled anti aircraft vehicles.

Cruiser tank troops consist of 4x troops of 3x Cruiser tanks armed with 75mm autocannons and machineguns, and 2x Cruiser tanks armed with twin linked las cannons and machineguns.

The cruiser tanks of the cavalry squadrons are all hybrid plasma reactor/engine which allows for greater range and speed than that of the regular battle tanks. The engines are remarkably stable when proper overhauls and servicing are carried out. The lighter platform of the Carnodon/Carnosaur preclude the use of large high velocity guns, so an automatic 75mm gun was seen as a good compromise between armour piercing power with shot, explosive hitting power with shell, recoil and weapon weight, a pair of las cannon armed tanks in each troop makes up for the deficiency of anti armour power.
The Cruiser squadron has a recon troop of Skalland light tanks, which can keep up with the cruiser tanks, and can provide more stealthy reconnaissance. Whilst close in air defence is provided with a pair of carnodon Stalkers. The Kesteral air defence turret was too large and heavy to be mounted on the Cruiser tanks, and an air defence vehicle that could keep up with the greater speed of march of the squadron was required. The Carnodon Stalker is the soloutiona and is armed with a pair of tri barreled 25mm gatling cannons and either 4x Skystrike man portable air defence missiles or 4x pods of flak rockets.
