I decided to split a starterset for Dystopian Wars with a buddy and found myself loving painting these 2mm scale warschips. I opted for the covenant of the enlightened half of the starterset. The ships themselves aren't that tiny. The smallest type (frigates) are about the size of a standard 28mm infantry game.

Hope you like them!

Amazing work! I have a demo of DW today. How do the Enlightened play in game?

They are the quintessential glass cannon faction. High damage output through unique weapons, but with a high pricetag, making the fleet feel a bit more frail than the "traditional" nation counterparts.

But if you love the sci-fi elements of this game, the Enlightened have a ton of that (especially now with the latest big box they got).

Also, have fun on your first demo game! I personally think this game is an absolute hidden gem in today's wargaming scene. It tough financial times for everybody and seeing a company produce a game that has a low barrier to entry (with fairly low model count games) while giving you a ton of models in the fleet boxes, is pretty refreshing.

Thank you so much for the info and the well wishes. It truly seems like a killer game. I love the models sculpts and I heard it plays faster (time wise) than the average game of Armada by Mantic. So that's a plus too in our book.
Sadly there was a covid exposure so we all couldn't get together today out of caution. But soon I hope. cheers.

The new 2-player starterset is out (called Sturginium skies) and I've started on the first model of that box:

Glorious! Where'd you get the wee airplanes flying under the zeppelin?

I play...

Sigh.

Who am I kidding? I only paint these days...

Those can be found on the Prussian support squad sprues (you will find them in the new 2player starter set as well).

These planes are mean to sit below the deck of the Konrad cruisers... But if you are not building those models, you will have 4 tiny airplanes to do conversions such as these.

The excellent quality of the models you've produced make you and them an excellent salesforce for this game- I'm finding myself having to look into it further. I started ut looking at your last post and had to go to the very beginning to read all the way through- very excellent work!

The concept of the game is intriguing and the relatively small space to get started is certainly attractive too.

I look forward to gaining more inspiration here.

Work continues on the flyers!

The Prussian Jaeger Fast Destroyers are done. For those wondering about scale, they are about as long as a GW infantry model is tall. Some very fine detail on these guys, especially the iconography.

I've been continuing my work on the terrain. I'm aiming for a bit of a modular system that will allow the islands to be connected via bridges (soon).
