Yeah sorry about that. That's my catchphrase from Youtube: cheesy, isn't it?
But anyway yeah, I'm a 31 years old game designer from Italy and aspiring Youtuber: I always loved the lore of Warhammer 40k (a friend of mine would never shut up about it, and eventually he got me to try a few videogames, such as Space Marine and Inquisitor Martyr), and I even read a couple books in my day, but I could never find the time to just spend an entire day collecting, assembling and painting miniatures. This changed in 2020 because, you know, Covid, and so I finally started putting together my first army (Space Marines, namely Salamanders, because I love flamers and Primaris seemed very easy to assemble and paint on the account of being very big).
Then I lost my job, I nearly died in a car crash, I had to rethink the way I approach this hobby because I found out I was allergic to a chemical in the paint, I nearly died AGAIN as a result of catching Covid, and so long story short, I soon had to drop the hobby I had just developed a passion for.
Now my life is a hell of a lot better, so I want to slowly resume dipping my toes into this ocean that is 40k: if I save up during the summer, in the autumn I should be able to stock up on paints, brushes and new models, and then I'll finally be able to return to this hobby full time.
In the meantime I figured I would join this community, because I kept hearing about it from multiple acquaintances, and hey, being able to share one's passions with like-minded people is always nice. Please take care of me!
