The Abominant's job is to push up the middle and force the enemy to deal with it while being as hard to kill as possible. He's spreading the aura of Dread to make the enemy shoot the closest target. He's also the prime candidate to blow up in the middle of the enemy army when it goes down.
The Rampager deep-strikes in with the +1 to charge from Hungry for the Kill. It's aura can help the War Dogs in melee and its super killy. It gets 36 swings with the Reaper Chainsword with the Reap and Rend stratagem. Even if it fails the charge, it can still support some War Dogs with its 9'' aura.
War Dogs take the middle of the board and start picking off screens early and threatening charges. They have a good mix of Favors that make them more dangerous then they might be otherwise, and they can rotate back behind terrain or just not be the closest target and hope the aura of Dread makes them un-targetable. I can abandon my home objectives if I take the opponents, and I've got a lot of ObSec counts as 5/10 bodies to contest objectives.
