Hi Spiral Arm Studio guys,

I bought into your game when it launched and I've purchased many models since, all of which I like a lot. The fact that you guys also run these forums and frequently post some of Dakka's best content (hello insaniak!) isn't the primary reason* I've supported ME, but it certainly leaves me well-disposed towards you as people and as a company. We don't know each other personally, but I can't help but feel like a friend as well as a customer.

As you're no doubt well aware, many of us in the hobby have material preferences that we hold to with cultish fanaticism. For example, the heretic known as BobtheInquistor loves plastic and resin but can't stand metal, while I love metal and polystyrene plastic but shy away from resin. (Despite these religious differences, Bob and I remain good friends.)

It's been awhile since the last HIPS release; do you intend to continue producing hard plastic units for ME? I don't buy resins or STLs, but if HIPS isn't economically feasible, then I understand your choice and wish you the best of luck.

*The primary reason is the quality of the models and the killer premise / world building. In an our age of global warming, environmental devastation, and climate refugees, the turmoil and conflict of Maelstrom's Edge becomes more and more relevant every year.

Hey there!

The initial releases for the Kaigus Pact include a few new plastic kits. At this point they're just waiting on the release of the V2 book (which is definitely getting closer!)

We also have a fairly long list of models currently in development for V2 (I'm particularly excited about the Broken bikes!), and plastic for everything would be our preference, but we need to see how sales of V2 go to figure out how many plastic sprues we can realistically produce.

That's great news! I've been looking forward to the Kaigus Pact in particular, so I'm glad that's still going forward.

We did release a bit of a teaser of the Tamakin Combat Thralls here - http://www.thecommguild.com/roller/thecommguild/entry/sneaky-spotlight-kaigus-pact-tamakin

Actual release for the Kaigus Pact will be after the V2 rulebook... which is very, very close to going to the printers.

Very cool. I am looking forward to more info as Space Crabs are very much my kind of thing.
