A few things...

-I'm a bit unclear on what the difference is between the Combat Manual 2.0 and Squad Tactics.

-Is there -or will there be- a digital version of the Combat Manual?

I'm mildly interested in reading it, but I've already got a sizable Junker's force and shipping from the UK is almost as much as the starter box.

Combat Manual 2.0 is an updated version of the VOID rules. Squad Tactics, on the other hand, is a small expansion that allows players to start playing VOID with just a handful of miniautres.

Wow, that's quite generous.
I'll give them a read over and if I like them I'll purchase some of the scenario packs.

The Squad Tactics idea for starting out is a good one.
