Hello,

I'm new to the W&G TTRPG, and am just looking for hints and tips from anyone with experience of the game.

I've booked in for my first game this Sunday and will be playing as a tier 2 Scout of the Exorcist Chapter.

I have D&D and Cyberpunk Red experience so not new to the world of roleplay, though I've no practical knowledge of this game, it's do's and don'ts.

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Sadly all players, starting with myself, decided to exit that campaign before it got going. We'd had about 3-4 months of delays before we got to a session 0 with the DM and it was honestly just a really bad experience.

There was little communication of any value and we spent just over an hour trying to figure out how the hell to create a character on foundry vtt. The DM didn't have any actual solution to that, suggesting instead that we drop to a tier 1 campaign.... Which.... Still wouldn't... Solve the issue of... Not being able to... Create a character

So I backed out before I started chucking money at something that was clearly doomed to fail.

Your comment comes at a positive point in time though, as I have since found a much more helpful and knowledgeable DM who, from first impressions, I've gelled really well with and I have my first session tomorrow!

I'll be playing a Scout of The Exorcists which I'm really looking forward to exploring in an RPG setting.

Still using foundry though bloody thing XD

Update: the game was fething brilliant. It's gonna be a while before I understand the full mechanics but, and I begrudgingly admit this, at least we have foundry to handle a lot of automatically for us.

The game was great fun. The rest of the party (a Rogue Trader and Kroot, we also have an awakened Necron joining us for other games) was exiting a bar and about to get jumped by a group of scum and traitor guard. The first enforcer jumped out of cover yelling a command to "get 'em" only to have a large calibre sniper round introduce itself to his head 😂.

All said, my scouts accounted for 6 kills in his first outing, the other 5 attributed to his skill with frag grenades 😁

Really looking forward to the next game. Just wish it was sooner than 2 weeks away!
