I guess the Pendragon RPG is getting popular enough for some Reaper Minis now?

July comes in like an M-80 and goes out like a bottle rocket as we say in the Old Country. So what do we have?

This month's freebie is "Skarix Sablecloak, Hellborn Rogue" a half-demon so proud of his cloak he includes the material it's made from in his own name. Free with $40 purchase.

Some rat and insect swarms, bones plastic. Basic, useful.

There's also a special charity miniature for the victims of Texas floods. Quite nice of them to do.

Now we go to crazy town with this month's 3d printed Bobby Jackson figures~

First off a Dark Elf Sorceress in her traditional top knot, shaved head, bondage wear and blindfold. Note the pet bat she is about to eat. And a staff that I think is made from someone's bloody spine. There's a whole epic saga in that miniature.

Then there's her sister the Dark Elf Priestess with her Jersey Girl hair.

Raleah the Elder an elven warrior maiden from North Carolina who works constantly to guide her sister...

...Adeui the Younger who makes Forest Demons say Adieu!

Fairy of the Woods can also represent the Fairy of the Forest, the Fairy of the Grove and with some conversion Fairy of Copse.

Bad Fairy is a sad story, she was never good at making flowers grow and her sun dawn ballads were always cliched and derivative.

Then bring on the bad guys!

Not sure what I like the best that his shield is a mushroom cap, or that it apparently works.

The Goblin Shaman knows the importance of accessories, check out those horns.

Finally a Halloween Batling released in August so there's actually enough time to get it painted.

In his "defense", he's probably quite high so what makes sense to him in the moment is suspect regardless. It's weird but I like the mini!

With September comes the first cold bites of autumn, but also new Reaper minis!

Yay!

This month's freebie is The Healer

As you can all see it shows an exhausted healer trying to rest and recoup his spell slots while some selfish fighter is trying to wake him up for another CLW. Pity the poor healer.

Sadraseth, Vampire Queen of Sullenhall!

I'm just gonna assume Sullenhall is that Little Free Library stand she's standing next to and that she's always putting on airs.

Her arch-rival Garravank, Ghoul King of Dimgall, and really, all I have to say is he looks good. Sort of a scaled down version of the $100 GW Ghoul King and acutally usable in games. I like him. He goes on the wish list.

Sir Toren Mael, Kingslyre Knight! I've honestly no idea what's going on with his arm, is he in the process of turning invisible? Did Garravank, Ghoul King of Dimgall eat his arm and now he's got a ghost arm? I don't know but I'm interested in finding out.

Now Lord Calred, Ghost Captain of Gallowgard is just a straight up ghost guy on a ghost horse. Which raises some questions. Do you have to die at the same time as your horse or like can you die first and then wait for your loyal steed to die later? Cause that might take a while. Horses live 25 to 30 years.

At last I can reconstruct that scene from The Boss of the Jewelry when Asterius the Fire Peddlar arrives for Lido's birthday party with fireworks and ends up roping Rodo into a quest to destroy the Quartz Digital Watch of Doom!

Enough with plain vanilla models! Now for the crazy round!

First off Reaper's very first 1:1 scale model, the coin mimic! You thought I was joking last month about the mimic who takes the form of a sword! I thought I was joking last month about the mimic who takes the form of a sword! But apparently object sized mimics are out there!

Finally the Mousing knight either on a dragon or on foot. At this point I just have to figure these figures exist for parents to make with their kids. Which is a fine, fine reason for anything to exist!

NGL, the Primarch style display bases for the Vampire Queen and Mr. Invisible Sword Arm are really cool. I also like the Ghost Cavalier, but I'd have to rebase him to match my dungeon crawler.

In my club's "learn to paint" classes the Reaper Chibi and Mouslings are very popular for people learning to paint.

I think kids would love the Mouslings.

You picked a nice group this month. I don't see any that I must buy, but I am at the point where I just want to paint the Pile of Shame that I already own, which includes some Reaper minis.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

The vampire, ghoul and ghost are all great. I'm glad we're hopefully through Werner Klocket re-releases from Freebooter so we get a bit more variety in sculptors.

October roars in like festival and comes out like a lurching zombie as they say.

Maybe not in those exact words, in that particular order, with that meaning in mind, but they have certainly said that.

So what does Reaper have for us this month?

This month's freebie (with $40 purchase) is Maddie the Oktoberfest Fraulein, who can also serve as a Spring Fling Wench, a Snow Festival Floozy or a Summer Moon Maiden with some conversion.

The popular Hirelings box is back in stock. 13 examples of cannon fod- I mean valuable aides for your campaign.

• Scout
• Male Porter
• Grenadier
• Lanternbearer
• Female Mercenary
• Hedge Mage
• Mapper
• 10' Pole Engineer
• Male Mercenary
• Man-at-Arms with Lantern
• Arbelist
• Link Girl
• Female Porter with Wheelbarrow

The Ten-Foot Pole should definitely be an Eastern European Superhero.

Finally, with a $50 purchase you can get a free Elowyn's Potion Pouch with:

A Bones USA ‘Elowyn the Witch’ miniature, two MSP paint samples, a sticker, a mushroom pen, and Halloween candy.

So looks like a good month to place a $50 order!

November has arrived that temperature is falling to the high 20s, both Fahrenheit and Celsius depending on what country you are in!

This month's freeby is Hiriam Haywather Halfling Esquire who looks ready to write a book about going somewhere and then returning, perhaps on a halfling vacation.

Not much in the way of new models, again I wonder if tariffs aren't biting, but a few things.

A "Nettlewitch" and her potions.

A group of Hellborn Heroes, ticking the box for another newish character race. Now we need a box for Turtlefolk and Rhinomen. And weresharks of course.

https://www.reapermini.com/search/FREEBOOTER

And Werner Klocke's Freebooter models are now grouped in one place if you want to to look for them.

So a quiet month, and for Christmas I'm sure we will just see the return of their specials. But that's fine. Sometimes we all need a break.

"Newish?! It's a myth that "Hellborn" is a recent racial type in D&D!" he roared, angrily citing obscure precedents with the deranged passion for trivial things that only a true geek can muster.

Hot damn that's a cool mini. I haven't painted anything in years but now I'm going to have to dust off the wallet.

Is he going to be in stores, etc. too or just as the promo?

That's a fantastic miniature. A shame it's 3d printed, if that was manufactured in a proper wayy i'd get one.

I've gotten Reaper's 3D prints before (including one of Werner Klocke's Freebooter models that was sculpted traditionally but scanned & 3D printed) and they are absolutely fine. I've had no issues with any of them.

EDIT: I got this guy as a freebie a while back. Once I painted him and put him on my custom basing, he looked as good as any other Reaper mini.

I just dislike 3d printed in general really, something about it just feels less "genuine". I'm not entirely against it but I just prefer something that's been properly cast.

Properly cast feels artisanal and hand made whilst 3d printed feels lazier somehow. Even though the 3d print still needed to be sculpted and can be a work of art, it's definitely got it's place for smaller production runs.

But neither is a match for my awful painting, so from that perspective I don't mind.

Big November release.

first up... uh... Chibis? Which i guess sell to someone. In this case Pathfinder licensed Chibis.

https://www.reapermini.com/search/pfchibi

Not my thing but it must be someone's.

Then a $30 cute elf chick bust (not that kind of bust, get yer mind out of the gutter)

But more importantly, it's time to go...

Under the sea!

Remember all those Dragon Magazine articles about how much fun undersea adventures are? Yeah. Me neither. Because Under The Sea never looked like the slightest bit of fun.

And finally the most eagerly awaited paint color in history, roast turducken! It can also be blended to create broiled duckturken, and baked chiturduck.

Yeah, after I posted I got a similar error on another forum (sorry, Dakka, but you didn't put a ring on it!) so it wasn't my connection or potato setup. Regardless it's fixed now and I can see your post in all its dark resin shark infested chibi glory. I really like that eel as a mini though I have no practical use for it as in almost 40 years of roleplaying I've never done an aquatic adventure session. I haven't seen a Dunkleosteum mini ever either so that's a bold choice to go Devonian!

edit: The cloudflare error is still coming up occasionally (the side chic forum is down again) in case the images don't work above for anyone else though they are for me right now.
